LOL :) to be honest should of worded it slightly different. :)

was in my head thinking something like

"how many other games have articles written about what happens in games, not so much about the game itself, but about what players are doing :)" .

But aye suppose my problem is articles like this putting a value on a few pixels is risky game, but that value is only that value if people RMT'd their isk back to $$$s, For me i just consider that any money i spend on Game Cards/ Plex is already lost, so any loss has 0 real money value

I think its a risky game putting real life value on pixels - But aye would still log out of game and spend a week away to get my 'mojo' back lol

    I could go on.

Nice article though! That kind of loss would drive me INSANE...$9000 bucks down the tube.

'when you are online in a ship, chances are that you can lose it'

Btw: that guy has loads more ISK, just a matter of time when he has a new one if he wishes to get that boat again. That's the problem: some ppl have more ISK income then they can spend lol.

The "$9000" is at legit PLEX equivalent prices (1 PLEX = $17.50 = ~550M ISK, puts the Revenant at about $8250; Forbes rounded up a bit.) The player could in theory have legitimately sold his ship for goods with a real world equivalent worth of that amount.

I believe almost every good sized MMOs have articles written by Forbes.

If you talk about things happened in the game then to my understanding Forbes takes whatever stories sent to them and they may publish it but they usually they don't express there own opinions and they don't seek to verify the accuracy.

Stories like this can find their ways in a Forbes site:

    http://www.forbes.com/sites/insertcoin/2010/11/10/virtual-entropia-universe-property-sells-for-335k-real-dollars/

But realistically not many fans other than those from EVE and Entropia Universe and such send in game details as "news".
