Who said you are not being responsible and thoughtful about your finances? Just because you buy a game system? LMAO

Well it is like this, as an adult you weigh your options and make a rational decision based on all of the factors that effect you.

In this case we are looking at the Xbox One and the PS4.

The PS4 is cheaper and has better hardware and graphics.

The Xbox One is more expensive.

The PS4 is a typical game console meaning you can buy, sell, and trade games at will with the normal restrictions.

The Xbox One tries to be a media machine that adds additional restrictions on the buying, selling, and trading of games. This actually decreases the value a bit. You can't simply sell a game on ebay, give it as a gift to a friend, trade it in, or etc. without understanding and working within these new restrictions. This actually decreases the value of the system and yet it still costs more.

The media center features don't appeal to me because I already have a PC hooked up to each TV in my house that do a great deal more than the Xbox One as far as media devices go. I have an acer that cost about $100 hooked up to my living room TV and it does everything accept play games. So... the media center functions have no appeal for me.

I have a gaming pc hooked up to the TV in my bedroom that will play almost every game on the Xbox One with the exception of a very few actual exclusives. This PC can do everything the Xbox One can and more. Again... this rules out any advantages I would gain by purchasing an Xbox One.

Sony will have a similar online cloud setup so... that isn't even a benefit.

Then there are all the other negatives such as the required internet connection even when playing single player games, the required kinect, etc.

So, in this case Sony is offering me everything I want and need out of a gaming console. The only thing that leaves Microsoft with to sway me is games.

Every game I want that will be on the Xbox One will be available on PC and or PS4 with the exception of maybe 2.

As an adult I simply can't justify to myself paying $500 or more on a console thats only going to offer me 2 games I can't get elsewhere.

The PS4 offers several games I am looking forward to (Which are available on multiple systems) and even has a few exclusives. It is $100 cheaper, has no unusual restrictions, has better hardware, offers everything a gamer needs from a gaming system and more.

As a rational adult, there really is only one logical choice.

You have stated there are 2 games you are looking forward to that are Xbox One exclusives, you've also stated you have a gaming PC.

Like I said the Xbox One prices does not matter to me because I see it as the better system. So far the games look batter for Xbox ONe and stuff like Foraz's clould AI, Quantum Break's TV Show which is made by how you play and being able to share games across the world instantly are what I see as innovation. I can play games off friends list even if I dont own 1 single game. I can also go to a friends house and log on to my account and play all my games. PS4 may do somethings tomorrow but as of today it does not intrest me.

All the Xbox One games are not coming to PC. Only 2 are slated so far and that's Titanfall and Spark.

Sony will not have similar cloud setup. Please share a link telling how there cloud will be like microsofts.

If you like Sony games then go for it. I am not telling anybody not to buy the PS4.

You don't know what cloud is do you?

Also, how can you play games of your friends list if you don't own a single game, that is bullshit, you can only play a friends games if they log into their account on your machine, or if after 30 days of being a friend they decide to give you the game.... but that can only be done once.

Your posts are starting to sound just like some form of presentation or conference, just spouting random nonsense.

No they did mention something about being able to download/stream or some sort of BS with 10 friends of your choice it just all sounded very sketchy and far to good to be true. As I mentioned earlier despite how they pull it off Microsoft has already confirmed you can not play one of the shared games at the same time the owner of that shared game is using it.

Its going to be both for PS3 and PS4!

What I am saying is that its not here today. I dont like the idea of adding stuff on later. I like the idea of it already being in there day one like it is with Xbox One.

Sorry I just got a chuckle out of reading this....I guess you don't like PCs either? Anyway carry on.

P.S. You won't have to add cloud support to PS4, it will be as easy as signing up for it just like you would with X1.

The PS4 has cloud computing support available to the developers. It's just the Gaikai service that will come later.

What does that have to do with PCs? Please post a link telling how developers will use cloud computing with PS4. Been waiing on that one for a while now.

Yup it sure can do cloud computing! Anything else youd like to point out what M$ can do that sony can't.......?

    http://www.shacknews.com/article/79760/sony-of-course-ps4-can-do-cloud-computing

We already stated that Sony bought a cloud service but show me something from developers going in detail saying how this will effect there game.

It says right in the article the developers can use the cloud for whatever they wish which means they can do the exact same things the Xbox developers are doing just because no game is using them means nothing... also I think that crappy looking racing game The Crew mentioned something about cloud processing on both consoles I don't want to waste my time with those interviews but feel free to dig through them if you want to.

Again, its somebody saying what developers can do. I want to hear from the developers them selves saying that this is what we are going to do. I have heard from Turn 10, Insomniac and Remedy.

LoL it's all over the internet, several devs have said the same thing, & Sony Ent Shuhei Yoshida said it will do cloud computing.

in the end Cloud computing is hogg wash at this stage! as most devs won't even use this as it adds to developmental cost.

Below is where we can disscuss and come up with new ideas for Sandparks!

What do you mean look better on the Xbox One? Microsoft hasn't shown what the games will look like on the Xbox One. The E3 presentation was done on PC's running high end Nvidia cards. Do you mean you like the game lineup for the Xbox One better?

Forza's Could AI is one of the things that make people wary about the Xbox One and its always on internet requirement. Having systems, mechanics, and assets on the cloud is a huge negative for me because that means if I choose to not play with the internet hooked up, or the internet goes out, etc. I am sol because my games lose quality. Also why would I enjoy a game that plays itself? I enjoy playing games, I don't want to log in and see it had done stuff without me. Even with the gimicky features aside though, I actually like Drive Team and the new GT better based on what I've seen and heard so far. Better done games get my vote over games that are relying on gimicks that don't appeal to me.

I admit Quantum Break looks interesting but again.. its a single game and it is being dubbed as "Currently an Xbox One exclusive".

PS4's cloud services haven't been fully unveiled but what they have shown and discussed has a lot of similarities with the Xbox One cloud services.

    http://www.gameinformer.com/b/news/archive/2013/02/20/ps4-lets-players-try-games-instantly-control-friends-games-remotely.aspx

"Gaikai’s network promises to be "the fastest in the world," allowing any PS4 user to virtually look over their friend's shoulder while online. If you’re playing a game and having a tough time with a boss while your friend spectates, they’ll even be able to control your game to help you through. Cerny also suggests developers will allow spectating players to act as a sort of dungeon master, adding things like potions into a game world."

We will have to wait until Sony and Gaikai fully unveil their plans for cloud gaming though.

Also keep in mind whats flying around right now is that you are going to need an Xbox live Gold Family Pass to play your families games. Which of course makes sense.

I like games in general regardless of whether they are Sony, Microsoft, or anything else. I'm simply pro PS4 right now because it is by far the better system, from an Adults perspective that is.

We already stated that Sony bought a cloud service but show me something from developers going in detail saying how this will effect there game.

How about for once you show me any factual information showing that any of the BS you are saying is true. All your doing is saying I like the games they cater to me and I don't care about hardware let the games speak. You have not shown any links stating any of the information your stating is actual full on truth you are passing your god given opinion as truth and asking people to show you proof when you aren't showing any and everyone else is giving you proof. Plus WIKI can be changed by any person on the face of the planet so how about you give an actual source besides a wiki and your own opinion!

The biggest problem with your touted features is that Microsoft is trying to apply them to consoles, which gained their market share precisely because they weren't PCs, and didn't require such features in order to enjoy a simple game. Sony is as well, but at least they will be options and not requirements. I'm sure that the XB1 will be a very nice hybrid machine who wants the PC gaming experience without paying for a full blown PC, but it will not be a very successful console, as it will sacrifice mobility, easy access to a lot of games whose real value to the consumer is usually in the aftermarket, and the sheer simplicity of simply putting a disk into the system and starting to play. If they were trying to do this with PCs, it would largely be a non-issue, but unlike the most of the people here who play on consoles, the majority of console users aren't going to want or need these "features."

They don't care about having a "better" game, they just want easy access to the game they already have, and the 24 hour check in flies directly in the face of this for many of the ways that consoles typically get used.

Kinect will end up being a negative as much, or more, as it is a positive. Similar gimmicks have been tried in the past, and have largely ended up collecting dust on someone's shelf. Add in the privacy concerns, and automatically requiring it for everyone will not help Microsoft's case any, even if it doesn't actively hurt it, either.

They don't care about developing a community because if they wanted that, they could play PC games, and many do when they want that kind of game; console games are traditionally much better for simply passing the time or blowing off steam without having to worry about all the details of internet, family circles, friends lists, or any of the other "features" that Microsoft is now going to require for everybody.

The used game market thrives largely because the type of game that consoles have generally is not worth the price that publishers are trying to charge, at least as far as the average console gamer is concerned, but are worth the price that the used game market provides; if the publishers get rid of the used game market, they will also largely lose a significant portion of the gamer console market that currently exists because backward compatibility and access to value priced games are very big factors for console gamers.

Lastly, there are a great many console games that do not need "growing" or an internet connection because they are designed to be quick, simple, and rapidly replaced by the next bite sized bit of entertainment, and the troublesome part is that this design works quite well for consoles and the current console market as a whole.

In the end, having the option to have these features is great, but in order to be successful, consoles must remember to be consoles first, and miniature PCs second. Microsoft seems to have forgotten that, and that will get them into serious trouble; the average console gamers will look at it and, after the initial surge at release, scoff at the, to them, unnecessary restrictions and over engineering, and those who want a PC experience will simply buy a PC that can do exactly the same things, but better, at more or less the same cost. While there will be a few game titles and gamers that will benefit from the always on aspect of all of these features, the majority of console gamers and the games they like to play simply don't need them, and don't benefit from them. The fact is that even if most people don't see them as absolute negatives, they aren't going to be seen as absolute positives either, leaving Microsoft a much harder time trying to sell this hybrid system that doesn't really seem to fit into a very large market space at the moment. A decade from now, it might be seen as being ahead of it's time, but for now, it's trying to change too much too quickly, and once the novelty wears off, Microsoft will likely find significant changes will be required to sustain it. Sony could very well find themselves in the same boat, but at least so far, they've avoided the bigger mistakes that Microsoft has made by forgetting the original, and still flourishing, concept behind consoles in the first place.

The funny thing about console exclusivity is if a game is successful enough to warrant a sequel and it's not published nor developed in-house, that exclusivity seems to vanish within a year. Also please note that because the "evil" empire called EA is publishing Titanfall, don't expect it to remain exclusive to X1 and PC very long...especially if the PS4 has better market penetration than X1 after 6 months to a year.

Sony actually has more exclusives set for the first year of release...they showed maybe 4 of them at E3  far less than M$ we don't know what those devs are doing so maybe they will be using cloud maybe not.3rd party developers haven't said much on that front either for either platform.

All the devs you mentioned are either owned by M$ or made deals with M$ so of course are gonna talk up xbox one same as Sony paid studios would.Especially Remedy who also have a episodic TV show deal with Microsoft. If you want impartiality you have to wait till 3rd party devs with no ties to either start talking about it.

My work is pretty much done here. . For the people that I did not reply to either your post was just a basic Xbox One sucks post or what you asked had already been answered in the original post.  I hope everybody has enjoyed my presentation.image

Im not going to write a wall of text that most people wont even read.

For me PS4 has MMos coming to it.

    Xbox One does Not.

Xbox One is ditching the independent game developers and XBLA on January 1 Xbox drops all support for that service.

Ps4 is telling any independent developer to come on down.

These are two things that are making me ditch my xbox for sony.

Also what happens to my xbox one when MS decides to turn off their server for a new xbox?? will i be able to play game after that?? Is the xbox one going to be able to even run when MS stops supporting it?

I know in 15 years i can unbox my xbox 360 and put in any game any be able to play it.

I hope you didn't mind us keeping you honest. Xbox One really doesn't have a market on this site because a lot of us are PC gamers and have gaming PC's so the Xbox One really doesn't have much value to us here. You may find better luck with other sites with less informed consumers.

The fact that PS4 has got planetside 2 and Everquest next along with some other mmo titles is enough to say I've already made my mind up, will be the first console I've brought since the saga Saturn. Looking forward to it.

I think many of us are in shock and awe at the ridiculous statements you have made and the lack of understanding you have. Enjoy your life though.

Sorry if this was already answered. I'm not going to get an Xbox1, but I'm still curious what will happen if you disconnect your X-Box 1 for a few days?

You would have done better presenting the real exclusives that people will buy an Xbox One for rather than trying to B.S. on the DRM, 24hr check in, and restrictions on game borrowing.

I'd say he understands it well. But those understandings do not make for good convincing.

Your games will not play until it pings home. The TV features work though. Once you ping home, you'll be good to play for another 24 hours until you must check in again.

What Microsoft doesn't get is that you could have a flux capacitor in the Xbox One and it wouldn't matter. Its all about the games and Microsoft forgot that a long time ago. The Xbox One reveal just showed how out of touch they are, most of us knew years ago they were doomed. You don't have to be a prophet to see this.

Its all about the games, EVERYTHING else is irrelevant.

I wouldn't even say less informed consumers, as there are people who could genuinely find this product beneficial. I just don't see the majority of current console gamers or PC gamers being among them. If Microsoft can bring in enough new gamers that actually want a hybrid machine, they'll do fine; otherwise, they won't. Trying to sell it on sites like this probably won't get Microsoft and it's supporters very far, however.

PRISM takes over control of the system which then begins backward engineering itself in order to create a fully realised AI.

"And the salesman brings his presentation to another site in hopes of finding like minded individuals to spread his lack of understanding and opinionated way of thinking" BTW your presentation lacked factual information through the use of citation and understanding due to your own lack of being able to see beyond your own opinions. My work is now done here you enjoy your Xbox 1 i hope the government watches you fapping to Titanfall through your kinect :)
