And i though being responsible and thoughtful about your finances was part of adulthood.

It looks like we all should do whatever we want then, go rob banks, go waste money in casino and dont worry about tomorrow. Yes yes, that sounds very mature. <chukle>

Yet ignored the post on the first page which has the technical differences with the Xbox1 and PS4. You say you want a discussion, but you are lacking any objectivity. This thread was created with the intent of pushing the Xbox1 and trying to mitigate the known gaps between it and the PS4. All anyone has to do is read through this thread to see the lack of objectivity and defensive posturing going on.

I don't think there is anything wrong with you being a fan of the XBox1... Just don't hide behind pretending you are being objective. You prefer the Xbox1, that should be what this thread is about.

I already know about the Hardware. That does not intrest me at all. What I said is that I will let the games them selves speak and so far Xbox One's games are the ones that are speaking.  Did you not see Titanfall? That game alone had killed my want to play any other FPS. This is what I am talking about.

I also think cloud computing will be an option on the PS4 but I think most games that use it will have a completely offline mode that will of course be gimped but still useable and fun.probably true of xbox one games too but there you still have the every 24 hour restriction.

Drakynn pretty much nailed down the reason for the negative response to the Xbox One. Good post.

Not sure why you would waste your time making this thread, the Xbox One is as much of a failure as Windows 8 is. Microsoft is trying to hard to be on top, and failing miserably. There is no need to quote me, nor reply. It's true. There stock price says it in a nutshell. Microsoft used to be a great company, but they fell to the wayside by mobile gaming and companies with better ecosystems like Apple and Google. The Xbox one is a joke! And it's a joke nobody wants to spend 500 on then have to spend over 100 a year on a subscription service to play games you already paid 50-60 for. On top of that they are making you pay this subscription service to watch you cable tv unless you enjoy unhooking your xbox every time you want to switch over to cable tv. I'm not even going to buy a PS4, yet another system not worth a penny. Consoles are a dying breed, and this can be seen with mobile gaming were games cost less than 5 and are almost feature content along the lines of a console game. Hope you enjoy the XBox One or PS4 with its dwindling player base. I'm content with my PC and smartphone were I'm enjoying playing games for literally nothing. Can you say that about Xbox or PS4?

And please don't quote me, it's not that important. Just my opinion.

Titan Fall graphics wise did not look very next gen at all in my opinion gameplay wise on the other hand that's a different story.

I can easily afford a console, but I also know that I have plenty of outgoings for my wages in my life which require far more attention than paying extra for an inferior gaming system.

Umm the PS4 is built around Cloud if i remebered since they purchased Gaikai last year.

There's almost no point in posting anything positive or neutral about Xbox One at this point. Most gamers and apparently the general public have decided it is DOOMED and there is no point bringing it up with them. I'm not sure how you find an audience who just want to know more about it, or <gasp> might possibly like the Xbox One, but they may exist out there somewhere...

$500 price is something that does not matter to me. I pay for a product if its something that I want. That's just how real adults do things.

As for Hardware I will let the game speak. Microsofts games look better then Sony's games as of right now to me. Of all the games Sony shows nonthing stood out at all. Drive Club looks best so far.

You're earlier posts indicated that you weren't a fanboy for either console and that you didn't have a dog in this fight because you just wanted to inform people of the "facts" about the XBone.  Your above post suggests otherwise.

BTW, price will be a factor for MANY.  Parents will be buying this for their kids, students in university will be buying one as will people on lower incomes.  Price WILL matter.  While $100 might not be much to you, it is to others.  Its might be enough to buy 2 new games.  And before you go on about how Kinect is included in the price for the XBone and that you would have to pay extra for Move or whatever the PS4 will have, no serious gamer gives a rats ass about waving your arms around like a retarded baboon trying to play a game.  Things like Kinect, Move and Wii are nothing more than gimmicky hot garbage.

I won't be getting either console, at least not at first.  I have a Wii, 360 and a PS4.  All three of them are collecting dust next to my TV.  I last played my 360 and PS4 probably around this time LAST year and I haven't touched my Wii (image hehe) in over 5 years.  I'll wait for some significant price drops before I even consider buying a new console and it probably won't be the XBone.  I really don't like the always online requirement.  At all.  If I want to play Microsoft games offline, I already have a console that can do that....its called an XBox 360.image

Is a man not entitled to the herp of his derp?

Remember, I live in a world where juggalos and yugioh players are real things.

Please tell me about the quality and features. What will the PS4 do different then the Xbox One? I just listed what makes the Xbox One different. This is not a troll or fanboy question. I really want to discuss this because even I want to know more.

No matter what, it is still the fact you will need to connect at some time in any 24 hr period to be able to access the gaming part of the Xbox One, this is the part that sticks in my throat.

Yes I would normally buy Microsoft, but I don't always have internet access, I am not going out of my way to climb the wall that Microsoft is putting up around their console just so I can play games in a supposedly secure pirate free enviroment.

I'l wager that because of this anit-piracy idea that hackers will go out of their way to break down the system to prove it can be done, it's like a red flag to a bull.

Currently the xbox and PS have sold roughly the same amount of units worldwide, give or take a few thousand, but this decision combined with the second hand games market will undoubtedly have an impact on microsofts sales.

What will be even worse is when we get to see how much games will cost for the Xbox One, in theory games cost so much because developers tell us that their games are being pirated, that the second hand games market is taking a huge chunk, so seeing as the Xbox is getting rid of both of these options, and having games held in the cloud rather than a physical disk surely this would mean a huge price drop? if the prices are still on par with the PS4 titles then gamers will know they are being ripped off.

Forza looks great. racing games almost always look amzaing so I never compare them to other games Ryse graphically did look pretty good gameplay wise.... lets just say I hope other games don't follow its example.

I still stand by my statement that Titanfall does not look very impressive both Destiny another Quasi MMO shooter and The Division an actual MMO shooter both look far better graphically.

guessing since OP is so biased he didnt watch the gameplay demo Sony did for Destiny. Because Destiny beats Titanfall all DAY!

Again, that is how you live your life. Please dont assume everybody lives the way you do. Where I come from people work everyday to have and do the things they want in this world. You cant be serious if you think there is a problem with a person wanting something and then getting it or making it possible for them to get it. That's a part of life. This is the last response I will make this because its just baffling to me and totally off topic.

Titan Fall graphics wise did not look very next gen at all in my opinion gameplay wise on the other hand that's a different story.

To me Titanfall looked the best of all games at the show. Forza and  Ryse looks good too from Crytek.

Destiny looked really good for sure but with Titanfall I guess it was just the whole package. I love mechs so that faced paced gamplay going from mech to on foot just blew me away.

Who said you are not being responsible and thoughtful about your finances? Just because you buy a game system? LMAO

Well it is like this, as an adult you weigh your options and make a rational decision based on all of the factors that effect you.

In this case we are looking at the Xbox One and the PS4.

The PS4 is cheaper and has better hardware and graphics.

The Xbox One is more expensive.

The PS4 is a typical game console meaning you can buy, sell, and trade games at will with the normal restrictions.

The Xbox One tries to be a media machine that adds additional restrictions on the buying, selling, and trading of games. This actually decreases the value a bit. You can't simply sell a game on ebay, give it as a gift to a friend, trade it in, or etc. without understanding and working within these new restrictions. This actually decreases the value of the system and yet it still costs more.

The media center features don't appeal to me because I already have a PC hooked up to each TV in my house that do a great deal more than the Xbox One as far as media devices go. I have an acer that cost about $100 hooked up to my living room TV and it does everything accept play games. So... the media center functions have no appeal for me.

I have a gaming pc hooked up to the TV in my bedroom that will play almost every game on the Xbox One with the exception of a very few actual exclusives. This PC can do everything the Xbox One can and more. Again... this rules out any advantages I would gain by purchasing an Xbox One.

Sony will have a similar online cloud setup so... that isn't even a benefit.

Then there are all the other negatives such as the required internet connection even when playing single player games, the required kinect, etc.

So, in this case Sony is offering me everything I want and need out of a gaming console. The only thing that leaves Microsoft with to sway me is games.

Every game I want that will be on the Xbox One will be available on PC and or PS4 with the exception of maybe 2.

As an adult I simply can't justify to myself paying $500 or more on a console thats only going to offer me 2 games I can't get elsewhere.

The PS4 offers several games I am looking forward to (Which are available on multiple systems) and even has a few exclusives. It is $100 cheaper, has no unusual restrictions, has better hardware, offers everything a gamer needs from a gaming system and more.

As a rational adult, there really is only one logical choice.

You have stated there are 2 games you are looking forward to that are Xbox One exclusives, you've also stated you have a gaming PC.
