This is an outrage and I quit

GrailerGrailer HamiltonPosts: 876Member Uncommon

Almost 70%+ want server wipe and all they did was ban a few people for 72 hours . The economy is still destroyed .

I can't see how I can play in a game where I know some players have a huge unfair advantage over others because the AH is really the main end game and will take months to recover .

So I quit .

you picked a fine time to leave Neverwinter now,  right when they needed you the most.  think of the children!

    The End
    ---------------------------
i don't expect to like Darkfall, altho i may like it MORE than other MMOs. i know it is gonna have a very frustrating level of grind to it, even if its significantly less than most. waiting for a pure FAST action virtual world. dice rolling & character levels (even "skills") IN COMBAT should have never carried over from pencil & paper to a computer that can reasonably model 3D spaces and objects

That 70% doesn't represent the entire population on neverwinter, considering maybe 10% of the people who play neverwinter actually go to the forums, its a pretty low number.

    Ok, see you tomorrow then.

This isn't a signature, you just think it is.

Depends on how long it takes to beat Borderlands 2  .  I just bought it .

Wild Star  will be the next MMO I play

unless Black Desert which is going to be the greatest MMO ever made .

good song but I can uninstall game which if  70% of the player base did the same they would send a quick statement to MMO makers that they should listen to the CUSTOMER because we are always right.

People are so funny about this. Almost all the posts on this forum are people freaking out.

You know how much gear or items I've had to buy from other players? Zero

So if that's all that's broken, I think I'll live on just fine.

If you enjoy the game, play the game. If you don't, don't.

But inflation works for everyone. If things cost too much gold/AD on the AH, sell something. Now you have lots of gold/AD too! Crazy concept. It's basic inflation folks. Unfortunately it happened on a very accelerated schedule. Oh well.

Again. If you enjoy the game, you'll still enjoy it. If you paid $60/$200 and you feel screwed, well then you're a little not-that-smart. There was never any guarantee about the value of what you were purchasing. I purchased so I could get in on the beta early.

Also, your AD still hold the same value for things you buy from Cryptic, so they haven't really screwed you. Only player-to-player transactions will inflate.

See you in a week... Because we all know you will not really quit.

Anyway, do explain to me how a wipe would make things better..? I can understand why YOU think it is better for YOU but i am talking about a grander scheme of things...

Also 70% of 2-5% is still not that much...

Ohhh, if I only had a dollar every time I heard sentiments like that about a forthcoming game!  :D

Also, 70% of the people on a forum is not 70% of the player base.

well heh: I got my moneys worth(if I was to give any money that is) before the big exploit, so A wipe would be dandy, I could start again later :P

Honestly, with how quick it was to 'finish' the game(And by finish, I mean a fair bit of grinding at 60 aswell as the road TO 60) I doubt this will cause many issues other than helping people 'gear up' faster.

I have to admit, the trailer definitely seems to show a game with promise.  Only two things I don't approve of:

    1. Not once in there did I see anything resembling a black desert.

    2. That black poodle cat thing has to go.

Someone mentioned the trailer yesterday and I did watch it, but the days are long gone when a neat video got anyone excited about an mmorpg.   These people really know how to make a turd look like a diamond.  :D  I just write off all videos and hype and wait until the game is released to see for myself.

and at least 50% of those 70% are multi-accounts of the the trols.

about which economy are the people talkin about? i have played 3 weeks now and didnt used the ah yet. the gear advantage the duped ad gives u is just too small and will be balanced by the players in few days/weeks.

No, the customer is not always right and in many cases they're stupid and wrong.

I do share the same frustration as you, original poster. One thing you have to keep in mind is this... it is a free game run by lazy people. This is why the exploit was transferred from one game (STO) to another without even fixing it when they already knew it produced similar results in the first game. So..... how long do you think before the bandage they applied ruptures and all hell breaks loose again? I may just want to keep the game up to date to watch the chaos  again! Besides $20.00 I purchased out of curiosity to see what the chests held I have seen little need to purchase much else. I would save money playing a sub. game vs. purchasing items in the Zen shop.

Reminds me of how people spoke of Aion and its trailers, or TERA, or Age of Conan...

Yep, history repeats itself, over and over and over and over.

    Also

70% of a poll that included less than a thousand people...  That isn't representative of the player base at all.

The stance you are taking and the arguments you are making are just making you out to be someone who is upset about something and now they're looking for something to divert their attention.

Sorry you didn't like Neverwinter's solution to the problem.

question: is an "outrage quit" the same as a "rage quit"?

    Currently bored with MMO's.

  • whisperwyndwhisperwynd montreal, QCPosts: 1,479Member

All I know is that other than forums and ingame chat which I rarely read, all of this Chaos people keep referring to has had zero impact on my gameplay.

And if it had no effect on me, I'm sure others felt nothing as well. So, all of this 'The sky is falling! The sky is falling!' is much closer to when Peter cried wolf, and the wolf with asthma did very little to the lodgings of the three little pigs even when enraged.
