    Dean Hall is working on a DayZ standalone that's going to be a bit more hack proof having things calculared and done server side.

    This game reminds me a lot of DayZ with Dinosaurs.  Not sure how it will turn out, but it is a survival game with Dinos.

    There's Metro 2033 and Metro Last Light (this last one is coming out in a few day's time) which are singleplayer but are apparently some of the definitive horror survival games where you get a gun and some chance to defend yourself but you are quite literally shooting money at the enemy (bullets are money in that game).

    I think there was also a game called Survivarium or something like that that was post-apocalyptic with both singleplayer and multiplayer.

    Then check out State of Decay by Undead labs.  They are first making a XBox/PC game then an MMO.  The team is former Blizzard/Arenanet devs and the brains behind Guild Wars 1.
