WTB Camelot Unchained Founder forums.  Now!

I love debate, argumentation, constructive criticism, insightful commentary… but this forum has turned into simple demagoguery.

CU Fan:  "I like CSE’s ideas and approach to this game’s development.  I want to contribute to its success."
CU Critic:  "You are an idiot.  Your are wrong.  You should feel bad.  I wish you an ill outcome."

I am mystified as to why these critics (and this is a far too generous term) want to enter the Camelot Unchained forum and attack the hopes and desires of others.  It would never occur to me to even visit the forum of a game I did not like, let alone insult its community.

I suggest we conduct ourselves as adults.  Contain the debate to ideas and dispense with the emotional attacks.

This has been discussed already.  You don't live in a vacuum here.  Many of us come to discuss a wide assortment of games and mmo/online gaming in general.  Redundent threads show up and clutter the "recent post" feed.  A lot of us read that feed to engage in current discussions.  CU fans have been rather prolific in their redundant thread posts and don't seem to care if it affects other gaming communities and interests.

Being polite and participating in mature discussions (lol if you think that happens in other game forums here either - CU is certainly not alone in that regards) also includes being aware of your neighbors and how you affect them.  Take this thread for example.  There are already threads in your game forum that touch on this subject, yet you felt the need to make an entirely new one.  No biggie really, but consider that.

Maybe it would help if the CU posters considred themselves part of our larger community and not a separate entity.  Anyway, best of luck to your funding and game development.  I hope that helps demystify why you see such a diverse crowd of posters in your threads.

Centuries ago, in primitive times, before the dawn of civilization, there were things that would be inconceivable to us today; such things as poverty, disease, violence, senility, and love.

This forum is for discussion of the game, not meta discussions about the forums. We already have rules, linked below, that govern all of the site's forums.
