Probably the best deal you are going to get for awhile. The Defiance they sold on GMG before was the steam version and I think this is a promo for releasing the GMG version of the game.

Actually if you go there it has Defiance for $41.99 not $33.

What is GMG? I have been waiting for a sale and since the TV Show i told myself I would buy the game first time i see it on sale....But do i have to DL another steamlike app? Or does it just give me a link to DL the game like amazon would?

Think its called green man gaming or something. I hear people speaking quite highly about it. I stick to steam and directly fromt he publisher, even if i have to pay a few dollars more, so i cant give you specifics or a review of them.

Either way, no matter where you buy the game from, youll be able to copy and paste the game code into trions website and play though them. I bought on steam and dont play though steam. So i wouldnt be afraid of buying it somewhere and then being forced to play with via a janky 3rd party launcher.

I stand corrected, might actually pick it up for that price.

I preordered it for $45 and it had no Steam code luckly. No need for Steam with this game. Or any game really. Though they do have good deals sometimes, considering they should by default be cheaper than physical copies because of the much less cost of supplying/making them. But i digress...

$33 is a great deal IMHO on this game. I am enjoying it so far, bugs/consoleazation and all.

They give you an email with the code and a link to the trion website. I beleive someone said you could just put the code in steam and activate it instead though.

No, it won't work with steam. When the game was first up for preorder GMG was selling the steam version of the game and gave you a steam/trion code, now it's a GMG/Trion code. It will look like this when you enter the code into your trion account.

Yes I tried it in Steam first and you are correct. Wonder why they changed it, not that I mind I wanted to play the game without requiring steam anyways.

Dude..I was playing AO hardcore for years before i started keeping xfire on 24/7 So by the time i started recording AO playtime with xfire i wasn't even playing much.

First few years of AO i would have 16-24 hours sessions often and few times i played 30-48 hours straight.

And i quit AO in 2010, in reality i bet i have like atleast 20k hours of playing AO.
