Why am I not surprised ? image   Having the download ready prior to release would have made too much sense eh Tasos?

How can they not learn from past mistakes?

DF1 Beta release, DF release, DFUW beta release, DFUW release  all the exact same AVOIDABLE problems.

    yeah they're adjusting the forums into the live product forums, probably adding a technical support, classes, lore and what not type forums.

    Only inside info I have is the fact the forums were beta forums and the product is now launching and becoming a live product, some time today, I just don't hulk out as quickly as you do, my asshole has long been gaping from the MMO industry.. you seem new, welcome.

    Getting the client is only half the battle.  You have crashes, lag and queues to look forward to. :(

    I live in the middle of nowhere, and will be lucky to hit 100K... Going to take me a LOOONG time to download this (Roughly 18 hours).

    But I played a bit of DF, and it was fun at the time.. So maybe I'll give this game a shot... In a week or so, when all the patching, login, and account creation issues have had the chance to be worked out.. Not that they all WILL be, but no sense rushing in on day one for me. :D

    I think it is all just borked on the AV servers period which is no surprise.  They tell everyone to DL the torrent - well this guy did DL the whole torrent and yet it still wants to replace 6.5GB of files...

    Plus they took the website/forums down yet the game is still 4 hours past stated launch and the servers still arent up.

    Downloaded client in less than an hour and been seeding at 6mb/s for the last hour. Torrent works good.
