the 'Most anticipated MMORPG of 2013" makes me almost fall out of my chair laughing.
The overly sexual themes on the left and right are pretty shameless, whenever a game throws a half naked girl in my face as their selling point/interest I immediately think - Oh, OK... So you have 3/4 naked npc females. Probally making up for a lack on the gameplay side of things.

Or...If you are one of those who go and protest outside of Porno-shops...Why are you even playing MMORPGs, or frequenting sites about said games?
Not the first, wont be the last time we see these ads or games.

I would like to ad, that unless you don't watch music videos, of movies rated above PG, or watch TV in "prime-time", I don't feel you have a right to complain. Most media these days is filled with sex and violence. I find it amusing how quick folks turn to attack 1 form but not others.

Second, no one was mentioning anything about feminism. I think that I speak for a few others that games that use sex as their primary selling point tend to be very...lackluster.
Sure, sex sells and I've enjoyed many skimpy outfits in console, PC, and mmo games. However, there is usually more to the game than that, and in Scarlet Blade's case, I don't think there is.
I will say, I thought the same thing about Vindictus and I found it to be a very unique experience (I still play it once or twice a week).
I'm downloading SB now for skritts and giggles.

So agree. Middle day tv gives more skin than these ads.
Being a mature adult while at the same time trying to promote gaming as a normal hobby for normal people I find the advertising on this site to be counter productive. Firstly to my mature and adult nature these adds look pathetically aimed at 'hormonally charged, desperate pre sex male teens' and secondly because of their nature and patheticness I cannot reccomend anyone to this site to show that online gaming isn't for sad, lonely, basement dwelling virgin nerds!
The adds on this site are just sad. Both for people who get excited in them and for online gaming in general.
They are much better than a particular run that they had.
Otherwise this is just typical fantasy bikini armor. Nothing we haven't seen before.

You're basically saying that they should give them features of elder women for it to be alright.. flappy skin under the arms, a little belly, and some wrinkles sprinkled across their faces.

To me, these girls are nice to look at, it's very well made, that doesn't make me a perv, it makes a human.
In regards to the game, will it make me play? Not likely.
Also, MMORPG.com are probably making a killing off these ads. I'd say that if it helps the site, I'm fine with it.
Self-pity imprisons us in the walls of our own self-absorption. The whole world shrinks down to the size of our problem, and the more we dwell on it, the smaller we are and the larger the problem seems to grow.

The mere fact that you had to say in an acceptable way should tell you guys over at mmorpg, that there is a problem with these adds. Just saying.
I think the ads are perfectly acceptable. I would be more disgusted if mmorpg.com removed them to sate a few people. If people feel that the site now become NSFW, then get back to work! lol
Anyhow, I don't play the game nor do I want to. It's after a different demographic than me, but I think they have as much right to advertise as the next game.
All of my posts are either intelligent, thought provoking, funny, satirical, sarcastic or intentionally disrespectful. Take your pick.
I get banned in the forums for games I love, so lets see if I do better in the forums for games I hate.
