    China is in beta / going into beta very soon (http://massively.joystiq.com/2012/11/24/live-archeage-stage-presentation-reveals-the-date-for-the-chines/ from last November).

    Why a game that is basically ready and just need a diffrerent language pack has to go into alpha again?

    Maybe they want to, as was done in China, rework the graphics to be more native looking. Tencent reworked the Housing to look less Korean and more Chinese, the same with bodies and clothing.
