Yup, but if we can create controversy be equating it to porn (leading to the obvious Mah Phreedum of Speche Protest Anti-PC red herring), no one will notice that we're marketing a complete hunk of junk.

    We hope.

Self-pity imprisons us in the walls of our own self-absorption. The whole world shrinks down to the size of our problem, and the more we dwell on it, the smaller we are and the larger the problem seems to grow.

It's as much an MMO as 2-Headed Shark Attack http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2043757/  is a movie. Some how there's no outcry against stupidity and objectification of women after movies like that.

I've been playing this game to check it out lately and my 2 cents on the subject is if anyone thinks this game is porn in any way they have either never played it or they have no clue what porn is. This game isn't even remotely pornographic. It's "cheesecake" at best. It's the same level as the nose art they were putting on bombers in World War II. The only character that could be considered Pedophile material is the Sentinal as all of the others are definitely representations of full grown women unless preteens are now sporting "E" sized hooters and nobody told me about it. As I said the Sentinal does push it a bit.

The main thing this game does is exaggerate what was already in MMOs to begin with. It just takes skimpy female MMO armor and pushes it into the realm of the ludacris. Nothing in this game takes itself too seriously. It doesn't pretend to be anything other than what it is. This game goes where others fear to tread. It's kinda funny actually. If they chose to exaggerate the violence nobody would have had an issue but because they decided to exaggerate the sexuality that already exists in most MMOs some people think that is awful.

And yes i mean 12+ who thought about sex when they were atleast 12, or even younger? who wanted to do it? yes exactly. Also people are saying that its wrong for "child-like avatars" to be portrayed sexually, well, once again look at the rest of the internet. Before a games actually content is unfairly judged.

It is well documented that children are being sexualised and desensitised to sex at an earlier and eariler age, and thats not good.  The internet is a big cause, and it is why responsible parents use parental controls, but thats only at home..  Children will have sexual thoughts, but that doesnt give licence for adults to market to this, they are CHILDREN, they are learning - porn isnt learing for example.  Playing games that are 17+ rated with sexual avatars with assumable adults is repulsive (imo)

Perhaps you should take a look at the game itself cause you are drawing conclusions that don't seem to make much sence: http://www.aeriagames.com/playnow/sbus/3?utm_source=googlesearch&utm_campaign=sbusother&utm_medium=branded (0:16 the actuall game)

Seems Tekken, StreetFighter and similar fighting games that come to mind, they also have these schoolgirl like outfits but in clearly adult body's. The Scarlet Blade adds again show to me very adult body's. So you have to wonder where your mind is at?

Oh and responsable parents talk to their childern, they will talk about the good things about sexuality and also bring up bad things about sexuality. You (commonly speaking) don't need parental control when raising your kids properly. Make them understand the difference and if they are confronted with something sexuality, be open and talk about it.

It excists regardless if we like or dislike it, trying to hide it doesn't do anyone any good, it actually works in reverse, the more you shield your kids from certain things the bigger change curiosity takes over. Of course that doesn't mean you have to show everything to your kids, but that should be very obvious as thats the responsable parent way.

I participated in some of the testing, and I can tell you tha tthe game is not worthless.  Sure it isn't as good as some other f2p games out there like TERA, CO, or SW:TOR, but if I didn't have any of those games, I would probably play Scarlet Blade.

It is not bad a bad game, it's just that there are better alternatives out there.

Since when is Tuesday a direction?

Tera and AoC are both good games.  I'm afraid your claim doesn't hold up to the litmus.  Sex sells(so does violence), and any product regardless of quality will take advantage of it.

True, but this game sucks every way possible. The only advantage is the naked women.

this game is no better or worse than most other f2ps so your point is moot.

Tera, AoC, Neverwinter, DCUO, Anarchy, and Raiderz are just a few F2P games that easily say differently to your 'mootness'.

im assuming you meant all those games are much better than Scarlet Blade to which i have to disagree, especially with Tera/Raiderz since those are the only 2 i've played from that list of games. Tera is a beautiful looking game, but its just a generic mmo with no real staying power. Raiderz same thing really. It's not great at all, just average, which is just what this game is. Just another run of the mill average game.

    You just sound foolish now.

I'm glad someone else is seeing how blind he is with his opinions of games.

Anyone who automatically assumes f2p = crap and/or p2p/b2p games = superior to f2p games is blind.

After all, if p2p/b2p >> f2p, then no p2p game would ever adopt the f2p model.

I found it to be unplayable, not because it has t&a; but because the controls are so wonky. wasd controls have been, since forever: up/forward, turn left, down/backup, and turn right respectively. This game decided that a and d controls should instead strafe left-right and the only way to turn is to move the camera angle by left click/hold move mouse. Unfortunately, I play on a laptop and don't have a seperate mouse so the touchpad isn't the best for camera control. Also the only controls for zoom: mouse wheel or numpad +/-, no pgup/pgdn support, no support for touchpad scroll functions. So I'm left with default view, a toon that I have a hard time controlling, and that's on top of the otherwise usual grinder gameplay.

I will say this though: the getting and turning in of quests is much better than the usual. No running to this npc or that npc, just click and done.

And no, I'm not a f2p hater. I'm currently playing EE, played GF & KS, and awaiting LO all on Aeria. So this isn't an inditement on f2p or Aeria, it's just a game with poorly thought out controls.

Lastly, this is not an "Ero game". If you wish to see what a real ero game looks like then I suggest you head over to somewhere like jlist.com or the like. Those are ero games. This game happens to have some boobies and some mildly suggestive dialoge, so did Conan; no one called Conan an ero game if i recall...

Pretty easy to detect how bad a game is when the ads are softcore porn. Now you think about the reason you click these ads, I'm off to play Evony.

The answer is because its just a damned video game. It's fantasy make believe, get over it.

    It's not a damned video game. It's a joke.

They just keep reskinning and old game, put a bunch of half naked girls in adds and frontpage with ridiculous texts in a hope to trick some horny teenagers spending some money on it to make a fast buck.

Then next year they do another reskin, rince and repeat.

Nothing but a cheap scam if you ask me.

If the developers are taretting children with this then they are using sex to sell games to children, and if you think thats ok then you have a problem.  Since the game is apparantly targetting adlutls (17+)   you have to assume it is targetting adult perverts since what adult male would feel comfortable playing with chars such as above and below, clearly under age.

Purely by definition of the word hentai, you are a pervert if you like these images of children under the age of 18.  Justtify with excuses all you like peeps, if you like this stuff..

Don't expect others to look like me, act like me or think like me. The censorship that was issued to the sentinel was nothing but the presumed outlook on what the female form is suppose to look like. The chunky giant boobs and butt syndrome. This censoring is what happens when cultural diversity is simply missing and the focus is on the presumed image of what everywhere cartoon character is suppose to be as. Since when have ficticious cartoons become real people when there were no real people involved to began with?

Going by this same logic we might as well real-life 15 year olds "adults" if they have huge chests and 18 year olds "children" if they lack chests. Except it does not work like that in the real world. True fact is none of these game characters have an actual age. They do not have one because they are not real. Only real people have true ages. Secondly none of them are identifible with any actual living human being.  So the issue of calling the sentinels children because they have pig-tails or have bubble eyes isn't a good excuse. Seen that picture with that 43 year old woman who looks like she's a young adult and I agree strongly, if she was not listed as 23 she might have been mistaken as 17. This woman can not control what her genes tell her body to look like. How about real-life women with attractive faces who enjoy or like putting on the Cookie Girl outfit uniforms or the Valley School Girl look? The censorship in these asian-type games remisence strongly of both biasm and lack of knowledge and understanding of the cultures and artists who create these type of games to began with and is more based on the wests puritian christian ethnicals outlook and prudent hypocrite factor.

This style and medium of artwork has been in existance in eastern works for 50+ years or more. How the artists design and draw and feature their characters in entertainment should not be disregarded in censors as compared to other artists who can create their art without censors.

The best way to learn about cultures or artists is talk to the people themselves. Not to go by the stigma already set by the narrow-minded and the limited full with biasm.

lol this style was used to sexualise a game, nothing more.  People can pretend characters look over 18 all they want, the game's intent is to offer sexual titilation - thats not art (in this case), context is everything.

As for Hentai itself, denying the meaning of the word because it is on a wiki is the equivalent of sticking fingers in ears and saying nanana.  so in case wiki was somehow widly wrong here is the oxford dictionary:

    hentai

    <div headpron"=""> Pronunciation: /h?n?t??/

    Definition of hentai

    noun

    [mass noun]
a subgenre of the Japanese genres of manga and anime, characterized by overtly sexualized characters and sexually explicit images and plots.
