Nice 10v10 pvp game for anyone interested
The game is Panzar: Forged by Chaos. It's an action combat 10v10 (maybe up to 16v16 in the future) pvp game based on CryEngine 3 and it has some character progression as you can level up to 30 and spend talent points and upgrade your gear. It's developed by a Russian company but they've recently started open beta for EU (I'm playing from the USA on the EU client).
I've been watching this game for 2-3 years and since it's now playable by english-speaking players, I wanted to share it with everyone. It's not for everyone, but I think it's pretty fun and worth a try.

You should give it a try and see the differences. They're really quite a bit different from eachother.
Forge is more like an arena FPS where it's super twitchy with people running around real fast, wall jumping, etc. Panzar isn't like that. I'd say Panzar is lot closer to TERA's combat, except you can move while performing attacks (or at least SOME attacks... I haven't played every class so I'm not familiar with every move.. I mainly play the orc tank)
Seems interesting, as a matter of fact, i've been looking for something like this a while ago - something like DotA but with character progression.

Where did you downloaded the EU client? I just see a client_ru in the main page.
Maybe they took it down while they fix it?
I just clicked the "download client" button on the right side. The page it takes you to to download the client is even in russian now, though. I don't really know what's up. The game is in all russian, the account area is in all russian...the launcher is missing the dropdown menu to select a language... I'll post back here if they get everything back to how it was. I promise I was just playing the english version yesterday! lol
Im going to download this when they fix the download link, looks alright actually.
As far as i know the EU client is not out yet its just the russian one.. There is an xml file you can replace that will change most of the menu system into english.. someone on the forums translated it.
Its a lot better than forge as well, combat and game mechanics are just a lot better.

Thanks, ive also signed up on the forum and theres a current discussion about the language. Ill have a look at the above links too.
Not really played the game since last summer.. but recently liked the facebook page.. had a chat with one of the devs on it and he said to keep an eye out for a full english version this summer..

Thanks for the info and video Caldrin. I thought I was playing the EU client because when I downloaded it, it WAS in english. When you started the launcher it would have a dropdown and you could select between russian and english, but that disappeared in the latest patch. I guess it was just the Russian client with preliminary tests for the english translations, my mistake.
I'm the one that made that post on the english panzar forums, my handle is Veldros there. Here's a direct link to the post where I've explained how to patch in the english translations if anyone wants to see it. This fix will add in the english translations from before the latest patch, but it looks like any new text that was added in the latest patch hasn't been translated yet so it's not in the files. I didn't really translate anything.. all the english translations are in the file already, I just couldn't find a way to point the game to them, so I had to make a script that replaces the Russian entries in the file with the English ones.
If anyone wants to see some more gameplay, you can sometimes catch some Panzar streams on twitch.

I know this thread is a bit old now, but I said I'd post back when the European client was released.
You can now to go www.panzar.com and create an account and download the client... all in english! The client connects to the actual European server as well.
Unfortunately, the European version doesn't have many players yet. If you know anyone who might be interested in this game, please let them know!

Just downloaded the EU version of the game. The eu sersers have 0 players
Public chat cahnnels are empty. THe only thing you can do is Tutorial

Yeah, after looking at their facebook page, it looks like the european version will be officially announced this coming week. I guess I noticed it was available a little early. Hopefully the announcement will bring in more players.
I'll continue logging in a couple times a day to see how it's going.

Yeah, the reason no one is playing is because it hasn't actually been announced. I came across it before it was announced apparently. Someone in the in-game chat said that they will announce the opening of the european version tomorrow (4/22). So hopefully they'll advertise it and bring in more players. So if you want to give it a shot, check back again in a week or so.
