Age of Wushu: Weapons Revisited

The latest in a series of developer diaries about key features in Age of Wushu has been released on the official site. This time, weapons are spotlighted with specific emphasis on blades, swords and daggers.

Every player begins by learning a few barehanded skills that never stop being useful; they can be used along with ANY of the other weapons. Have a Quarterstaff equipped, and you can still strike with a Lotus Palm attack. Bored of your dagger? Switch it up with an Eagles Claw to the face! Swapping between weapons can prove useful depending on what you encounter in the world.

    Does AoW have staff melee fighting?  Something like a Friar from DAoC would be cool.

    Sandbox means open world, non-linear gaming PERIOD!

    Subscription Gaming, especially MMO gaming is a Cash grab bigger then the most P2W cash shop!

    Bring Back Exploration and lengthy progression times. RPG's have always been about the Journey not the destination!!!

    Shaolins can use a staff and I think there is an other school with Staff skills....
