    Let's us remind ourselves of old choices for names for different games.

    Super Mario Bros:  A game  where the main protagonist is Mario and he has a brother; the game has a strong power-up system that makes Mario "super".

    Tekken: A beat'em'up game simulating a tournament known as the Tekken tournament.

    Halo: A FPS with a strong story element in it is single player mode where the "halo" both refers to special structures but also has a religious implication (ingame religion in the lore).

    Grand Theft Auto: A game whith basically revolves around romantized view of the crime known as " Grand theft Auto".

    Zelda: An adventure game revolving around trying to save/help the princess Zelda.

    Skyrim: A game where the setting is a province named Skyrim.

    Metroid: A game where the story revolves strongly around the lifeform known as "metroids".

    --------------------------

    It would argue that a name should be strongly connected to the essence of the game, whether it is in lore or gameplay. If the name is generic in the sense that it could be applied in several games by different companies, I strongly suggest that your game is the first/most popular of those games: that's why "Grand Theft Auto" works even though there may be other games in the future that copies the gameplay.

    I like this one.  How about:

    Age of Mythical Realms

    Legendary Age of Mythical Realms

    Age of Myth & Magic

    Age of Myth & Legend

    I like this one.  How about:

    Age of Mythical Realms

    Age of Myth & Magic

    Age of Myth & Legends

    Age of Empire + Heroes of Might & Magic + ??? = Age of Myth & Magic, what is the "???" though?

    ^ This.

    If they decide to go the "Camelot" route, maybe;

    Camelot: The Reawakening, or Camelot: Redemption, etc.

    If not, possibly;

    Warring Realms, Realms of Legend, or simply, War of Lore.

    Is Duke Nukem taken?

    Self-pity imprisons us in the walls of our own self-absorption. The whole world shrinks down to the size of our problem, and the more we dwell on it, the smaller we are and the larger the problem seems to grow.

    The abbrevation should also sound cool. DAoC and CU are fine. "Crusaders of Camelot" would be disastrous.

    Why do MMO names always have to be so formal. Why not something friendlier. I say we call it Steve. Steve Online has a nice ring to it.

    Whats wrong with Dark age of Camelot 2?

    As I said in a previous thread, the acronym CU has negative connotations for many players.....

    After reading all of the replies I realize all names (including my own suggestions) that don't have Camelot in them sound bland and generic...

    A little (or a lot) off topic, but...

    The colors in the current tri-arc emblem are blue, red and YELLOW.  Which realm is which?

    Sigurd - Blue

    Arthur - Yellow

    Nuada- RED(?)  Come on!  Hibernia is GREEN!  There are no two ways about it!
