    I just got climates of tamriel+a few other mods that were suggested. This screenshot doesn't show them, as I took this earlier today.

    And I don't put porn into Skyrim btw, that is just weird to me. I do however like a nice character to look at and take screenshots of. Lots of artistic screenshots of characters on Nexus, and most aren't actually "porn" or "perverted".

    Anyway, here is the link...came out pretty good I think

    I've been using ASIS mod for Skyrim for a while now.  It spices things up quite a bit with NPCs, Perks, combat, etc.  It's more compatible, IMO, to more mods than Skyrim Redone, which is heavily dependent on patches being produced for other mods for proper implementation.

    ASIS and what it did with NPCs was important.  NPCs got access to perks that the player can.  The mod included items AND spells added in by mods to be included in a patched list, so again, NPCs can access that gear also.

    "I have only two out of my company and 20 out of some other company. We need support, but it is almost suicide to try to get it here as we are swept by machine gun fire and a constant barrage is on us. I have no one on my left and only a few on my right. I will hold." Looks great, you can always adjust the settings i.e. grain, colors, vignette or the intensity of the sepia color cast. Dont forget to bring torches/light spell with you, dungeons and nights are more dark. The mod "Laterns on Roads" will help here  aswell "Light up the night - people have torches".

    One of the weather survival mods is called "Winter is comming: cloaks" and not cloaks of winter like I wrote before.

    You need this clothes when you go up the mountain and you start freezing. If you have the feeling that a snow blizzard is comming, prepare for your camp or look already for shelter....You can get hide tents with 1, 2 or 3+ sleeping rolls for your companion(s).

    My character is a Nord race so I have already some resistance as a bonus.

    You really should read about the mods, this here is a great guide about Frostfall:

    https://sites.google.com/site/skyrimsurvivorseries/frostfall/gameplay-overview

    Take your time since it is worth it, its more easy than some assume maybe and there are difficulty survival settings from low to hardcore. Iam playing with medium settings and doing fine.

    By the way, the unofficial patches (main game and DLC´s ) are recommanded in general for the game. Iam sure you did install them. The performance mod will help you a lot when it starts raining and snowing, but should boost performance in general using mods like the mentioned ones and ENB.

    These weather mods just fit perfect with Skyrim since its the land of the nords with a cold and harsh environment. With lots of snow and higher mountains.

    I kind of like it how it is. However, the sky is way overly bright...not sure if it was because I added Climates of Tamriel or not. But it started to rain, and I couldn't even see the clouds...just one big brightness in the sky. Any suggestion on what I should change to fix that?

    Yes, I had the same problem.

    Solution:

    press shift+enter ingame and the ENB menu pops up. Scroll down a bit and disable "bloom". Scroll up again and save the settings. Try this if it helps and tell how it looks for you, there are more advanced options which can be adjusted if you still have issues.

    rofl, I just got banned on Nexus

    Because I put up screenshots (that showed no nudity or barely any skin at all, there are WAY worse screenshots on there) of the Monli race. My character was "too young" to be up on Nexus. So my entire screenshot collection was removed and I was banned.

    I went to chat on an alt account and the moderator or admin or whoever just laughed and banned me again.

    That is rather annoying, but I'll probably laugh later.

    Wtf ?

    There are face mods out there where it is almost impossible to create a more "mature" looking character, didnt like them i.e. pretty face. Such mods flatten everything in the face.

    If it is no nudity post the screenshot, I wonder really.

    By the way what weather/survival mods did you install so far ?

  • TheScavengerTheScavenger Member EpicPosts: 3,321

    Yeah, these are the screenshots that got me banned and all were removed (you can see the links to Laenaya are broken in this thread now):

    http://imgur.com/a/GDzwJ#0

    I dunno why those would get me banned...

    Its fine though, my IP is dynamic so I can just make a new account. I just won't be putting up screenshots up there anymore.

    As for survival mods...

    I have realistic hunger and disease, frostfall and...I have a mod that shows when you get cold or wet, that goes good with frostfall. Those two are pretty much it.

    For overall mods, I just use Skyrim Redone. Hard to play without all those perks :P and a werewolf/vampire overhaul.

    I have a mod that lets you build your own house, and your own outpost. And adopt your own children. Pretty much the same as what the DLCs do, but the build your own house mod isn't nearly as buggy and there is more to it.

    I have a bunch of others, but I try to keep my mod list more compact. Just keep the ones that are most important to me.

    Huh ? Dont see anything disturbing with your images.....strange. Those are just the ones you posted here already.

    There are much younger ones out there if you search with google, and whats the issue anyway look at the asian mmos how young characters look like.

    Hehe, I had the mod realistic hunger and desease before but this was a little too much for me slowing me down.

    There is a another mod planned, its a mod aswell about basic needs by chesko who did develope Frostfall. This will work hand in hand with the other weather/survival mods, sounds awesome.

    http://tesalliance.org/forums/index.php?/topic/5365-wip-last-seed-primary-needs-primitive-cooking/

    What I did was the following in addition:

    * no fast travel (you can adjust this in one of the survival mods I mentioned before. I think  this is really good if you run the survival mods)

    * Realistic Running Speed (this is quiete cool ...gets only slightly adjusted so you cant run too fast..almost like a horse")

    * Timescale adjustment. Since I play without no fast travel, such a mod will increase the time of the days. Really great and I recommand this.

    You should get in addition the "winter is comming - cloaks" mod. So you have clothes which protects you against the winter climate. And since you are running "Skyrim Redone" this will work very well.

    With the cloaks you can walk around a little bit longer when you are entering the mountain regions. This would the only missing mod in your list since you have all the other 4 mods as far I understand i.e. Skyrim Redone, Frostfall, Cold & Wet and Climates of Tamriel. Check it out, they look quiete cool and area easy crafted.

    By the way, since I did start from scratch with Sykrim Redone I noticed that the "Wayfarer" mod did level me up too fast, way too fast just from walking around. I did lower the value in the settings and its working better for me. Dont know what lvl you are already, but if you are still quiete low this would help. Otherwise you level up too quickly just from walking around in Skyrim, if you need the settings just tell me. You are using the uncapper with Skyrim Redone, right ? I did download the suggested file for the uncapper from the Skyrim Redone author on nexus, its one of the alternative files.

    Anyway, Iam quiete happy with the gameplay right now. Iam using a bow quiete often so I need my companion a lot more, this will get better soon.

    Well supposedly, anything found on "Loverslab"...well...I'm a member there, and Nexus supposedly really really hates the site. So any mod found there and is in a screenshot, Nexus just bans them or deletes the screenshot if they are in a good mood. Some internet politics between the two sites or something.

    Oh well, luckily I can just make a new account, not really a big deal.

    Anyway...as for mods...

    I did actually have the cloak mod already :) Forgot to mention it.

    And yeah that hunger mod looks amazing. I'll definitely be switching over to it when it is released. It should go really good with Frostfall, since it is same mod creator.

    And thanks for that realistic running speed. Man is it annoying going to slow or too fast when following NPCs lol...looks like that fixes it.

    (edit: I have no fast travel too. Plus a more carriages mod.

    But I don't think you need a time mod. Can just open console with ~ and type in "set timescale to 5" or whatever number you want. Need to do that on each new character though. Unless the time mod does something else.

    Sounds good ....are you running SkyRe with the uncapper and did you install the unofficial patch(es) ? I guess you are playing with fast travel, so wayfarer isnt so much an issue for you.

    edit: saw your last sentences

    well, do you have no issues with the wayfarer from Skyrim Redone if you need to walk a lot aswell ? Iam lvl 11, so I had to reduce the values. At lvl 5 just walking from Riverwood to Whiterun and back did level me up for half a level. Yeah, the realistic running speed mod will adjust the issue with the npc you are talking about, its better with it.

  • TheScavengerTheScavenger Member EpicPosts: 3,321

    yup, have the uncapper. And have unofficial patches :) Plus a couple things that I added to my post above (I edited it shortly after you posted).

    I also have Immersive HUD and SkyUI

    Yeah, I have the same mods iHUd/SkyUi. Seems like we are both playing the game quiete similar. =)

    Well with the timescale mod I dont have to type anything, but I didnt know before you can adjust this with the console so didnt uninstall it.

    This is the character build I aim for, as close it is possible with Sykrim Redone.

    If you are running the mod realistic hunger and deseases the following mods could be interesting:

    * Fishing in Skyrim http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/16139

    * Hunting in Skyrim (with own Hunter Guild) http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/18866

    For the hardcore combat gamer:

    * First Aid http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/14809

    A nice mod which I use aswell:

    * Skytest - Realistic Animals and Predators http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/10175

    Thanks for the top 3 mods :) Those look cool, and especially fishing goes good with the hunger mod. And a hunters guild is awesome...and actually makes me wonder why there wasn't one to begin with.

    Never heard of the first aid mod, but that is a must in my mod list :D

    SkyTEST is good too, adds a lot to the wildlife and works really well. Much more realistic animals.

    There is also Skyrim Monster Mod, but that one makes my CTDs (crashes) skyrocket. So I can't use that one.

    Turns out, my account was glitched on Nexus. I didn't even get a warning. The moderator just said I wasn't allowed to show the armor in the screenshots I put up of Laenaya. But I was never actually banned, it just, every time I tried logging in...it showed up as banned for me. I dunno all the techy details, but my account is fixed now.

The night can be quiete dark if you select such an option and here are two mods really great: "Lanterns on the Road" and "Light up the night - people have torches"

    If you have performance issues, try this mod:

    "Skyrim Performance Plus"

    http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/6387

    @Inktomi

    Yeah, Frostfall is a very nice mod.

    I combine the following mods and they offer really good compatibility. I really recommand to run them together, such a nice survival gameplay with just the weather:

    These mods are well-matched and complement each other. If you use only Frostfall you miss the content of the other mods.

    Try it for sure !

    * Frostfall

    * Cold & Wet

    * Climates of Tamriel

    * Winter is comming: Cloaks

    ( * Skyrim Redone - offers a special perk tree for wildlife/survival which is especially made and compatible with these mentioned survival mods. But this mod has a bigger gameplay change in general since you combine it with an uncapper...probably best if you start a new game like I did. But you can play of course the weather mods without Skyrim Redone, no worry)

    I love to craft my own hide tent and set it up with a fireplace to seek shelter when a snow storm arrives , or to wear warm cloaks if you enter snowy and cold areas in the mountains, you can cook a soup or hold a torch which gives additional benefits......so awesome. The major modification "Skyrim Redone" offers even a whole perk tree just for survival and special compatibility for the weather survival mods.

     I run aswell the big main mod "Skyrim Redone" with the uncapper....works great so far.

    In general I recommand aswell an adjustment of the "Timescale". The days are too short, at least for my taste. There is one mod called " Sky Realism - Time Scale and Travel Speed".

    By the way, I play the game without fast travel  =)

    With all the released community mods, Skyrim is probably the best RPG adventure game on the market currently.

    I've got Cloaks of Skyrim, Winter is coming cloaks, Wet and cold and the patches that go with them. Thanks for the advice anyway. I don't use SkyRe because it's not compatible with SPERG. Realistic Needs and Diseases goes great with Frostfall too. So I literally have to stop, warm up, eat drink to stay alive and I cannot fast travel (unless I get lazy).

    Do you use Convenient horses? I installed it and never laughed so hard when I had to do the miniquest for the whistle. I would go up to an NPC and whistle in their face. Whistle, whistle or whistle? Good times.

    So here is Laenaya again, but in a much better outfit. What she was wearing before, the armor is actually banned on Nexus. Hence why my screenshots were deleted. This armor is far better anyway in my opinion. And I got weapons to go along with it. I actually think she comes out a lot better with this new outfit.

    What's sad is that we can't gush over an MMORPG like this.

    I wish someone would make a niche, adult-oriented MMORPG with amazing graphics for people with decent systems. :)

    A sure sign that you are in an old, dying paradigm/mindset, is when you are scared of new ideas and new technology. Don't feel bad. The world is moving on without you, and you are welcome to yell "Get Off My Lawn!" all you want while it happens. You cannot, however, stop an idea whose time has come.

    I like MMOs. But for Bethesda games specifically (I think they are one of the few companies that produce AAA games and allow for massive modding)...not sure anyone else in the AAA game world. Indie games tend to allow a lot of modding. But anyway...

    I can't add races to an MMO. I can't add weapons or armor or quests...or anything. I'm forced to play by the devs rules. If I want to add a giant death star to replace the moon, I can't do that. If I want to make the MMO a porno (kinda creepy, but people do it in Skyrim) I can't do that either. They are rather limiting in that regard.

    One thing could be, is to allow player made content people can download. But I don't see how that is possible without affecting everyone. The other, and devs have said this in some MMOs...is to allow player content that they actually put into the game after approving. But I've never actually seen this happen, even if they say they will.

    But really, I would never play Bethesda games without mods...because I can tweak them and add/remove/change as much as needed, to my personal preference. I can't really tweak an MMO to my personal preference. So I don't really get as exciting about MMOs, as I do about taking a game, turning it epic and taking amazing screenshots.

    And on top of that...every person with Skyrim (who uses mods), is going to have a very different game than almost everyone else. So, not one game will be exactly the same. At least in regards to modded games.

    MMOs are good for different reasons though. Mostly (at least for me) in the social and team work aspect.

    The point wasn't to allow modding in MMORPGs, it was just to say that it sucks we have all this circa-2002 graphics in our MMO games because they have to cater to people trying to game on crappy computers.

    I'd like to see an MMORPG with much more advanced visuals for people who own a decent machine.  I think it's very cool that we can all mod Skyrim and stuff, but it sucks that the only way we can share it is with YouTube clips and screenshots.

    I'm a social gamer and I prefer other humans in my games.  Single player RPGs put me to sleep.
