I've said over and over that I prefer a subscription game to ones with micro-transactions. I would simply like to know if the distribution of consumers like me exist to the degree I imagine, somewhere around 40% from what I see people type or if their numbers are closer to what the games are delivering. My intention is to find out if they are forcing these non-sub games on us or we are simply a smaller group of people than I thought.
The number I'm using is from this site. It is the largest list here of payment models all consolidated for me.
582 games are listed here (didn't count by hand, put them in a text editor and took a line count
Of those games, 36 are labeled subscription without micro-transactions.
The percentage then maps out like this: 36/582=0.0618556701030928 meaning around 6% are subscription based games.
A poll won't be scientific but why not, I'll compare answered results to delivered product and see if the demand exceeds what is being offered. The list of games isn't scientific either. I didn't spend 20 hours searching for every game on the planet - just the ones that were in quick view.
