Well, though I don't think his petition will do any good, I can easily understand someone, or a group of "someones" loving a particular IP and then realizing that this is the chnace to have that IP become an mmo and lo and behold the game that's being made isn't even close to what they think the IP deserves.

One can easily make the leap and say the developers are giving the players the biggest insult they can.

That knife cuts both ways. Though I do agree that if a game isn't what you want then don't play it. Send a message.

Maybe we want to play it, but if it ends up restricting us in favor of people whom haven't been a fan of the IP since the before Morrowind, maybe we might want to give them a heads up? If enough people wants to change it, let it be changed. However you can't really change something that isn't done yet. And for all we know, they might not have decided themselves, but it sure seems that way.

If you do not support our cause, don't sign the petition. I'd claim that your comment was unnecessary but it brings us more traffic to the topic.

We can't play the game yet though, so this is the best way to send the message at the moment.

Personally speaking I hope there is room for improvement and I would rather speak my mind and walk away then not speak my mind, walk away and wonder if I could have prevented the mistake.

I commnend you on your effort, but its in beta. bottom line is almost ready for retail. even if it fails which seems to be the case from my personal point of view, would love to be wrong, it will never have the features you described. just do like me and wait for a proper MMO that has those sandbox features. this one is written in stone.

It's not in beta. It's in (pre-)alpha. The Beta signups have been done though.

Can you please stop speaking for people other than yourself, You dont represent everyone who has played tes games since before morrowind, not even close

  • If they do add the missing parts of the map I seriously hope they'll be integrated seamlessly into the faction zone they belong to rather than each being an extra fragment in the world with its own personal load screen.

There is now a petition for TESO up, it includes a couple of sources, some concerns around the topic of the segregated regions of the map in Tamriel. In an interview Matt Firor stated that you will not be able to enter the enemy's territory unless it is in Cyrodiil's PvP Zone.

Anyhow, You can read more about it at the petition site linked below. Please support this cause and help us get what we want.

I'm talking about after it launches. Of course peopel should feel free to express themselves. but after all is said and done, if it's not what you want then don't play it.

I did sign up to beta test and will test and give my opinions. But if the game isn't what I would be interested in I sure as hell won't buy it unless it really captivates.

While your imput is thought provoking and well thought out...

The point is, the TES IP is not something you could buy and work on for any money at all now. The only hope is that until the game is released there is still a chance to get certain design features modified to bring the game more in line with the IP it is using.

Oh I will do that. Why on earth would I pay to play an online game that doesn't resemble a TES game when I have them installed on my computer anyway. I am looking for TES online and to me TESO isn't that atm, I hope it changes.

My hope is that TESO is the spiritual companion to the SPG games. At the moment TESO is about as spiritual a companion as a puddle of mud.

You totaly missed my point. Yet you didn't.

You understand that you couldn't buy in at this point, yet you don't understand that unless you fund the development, you don't get to decide what gets developed.

Or TESO just goes the route that seems to be working ATM...Launch what you want, sell a bunch, take lots of fire about teh game, drop the sub model, and go to some F2, B2, CS, 2P model, yet still post profits.

SO keep up the good fight, sign petetions, make videos, shout at the top of your lungs, do what ever you have to.

later the understanding will come, or maybe it wont. I just feel a capititalist obligation to try and spread some knowledge, too bad I am not so eloquent.

Am I the only person who reads this, sees the actual trend and actually wants to do something about it rather then saying "OK, don't like, take money....shiney!".

That was just some silly person whom just wrote it. 19 before him were people I already discussed this with whom agreed. He is obviously just trolling.

Speaking of which, if you don't support that cause, don't sign it. If you do sign it you're only doing us a favor.

Until there is an actual official forum for the game then little petitions like this need to be done.

Doesn't Bethesda have a forum for eso?
