TRION aiming for a release in 2013
trion is planning on releasing archeage this year in the west.
"Trion aims to launch the game later this year in North America, Europe, Turkey, Australia, and New Zealand."

Aiming for, unfortunately they won't meet this deadline. They set thier bar too high to think they will release it this year.
The Repopulation is my number one runner up then TESO, Wildstar also look very fun.

i don't see why really the game is made.. it's mostly just translation stuff.. almost a year seems like plenty of time

Good new, I'm glad they're pushing them out this year.
I'm crossing my fingers that one of them will stick and I'll have a good mmorpg to play again. Haven't had anything good come out in years now. I haven't played any of the mmorpgs in the past few years more than a couple months. I really would like a good mmo again.

The publisher isnt the developer, the big plus for this is Trion markets better than any other MMO company. Thats the only real difference between them and the other options out there.

also since half people hate ncsoft and tells they are the worse publisher around, they can translate things in 3-6 months then I guess you guys can get your hopes up

Yes I'm sure translations will take far longer than a year, especially considering the game is already released after having been beta tested for multiple years. However, you seem to know and not be speculating, so why don't you give us the insider information you obviously are privy to?

Rift would be exactly what it is right now. An interesting class system in the usual themepark world dull on lore. Remember, WOW got a huge audience not because it was a MMO but because they had a lot of fans who already were familiar with the lore.
No one cares about Rift's lore...or even knows a lot about it. They play the game because it is a decent game, most htings work, and it's class system is a somewhat unique standout from the usual stuff.
