TERA population, new servers already.

EU has just released it's first new server because the current PvP server started experiencing queues, I expect NA to do the same shortly because our servers are reaching near maximum capacity at prime time, this is felt by the lag and seen at low level zones where as many as 5 channels on island of dawn will reach "high/full" status , clearly EME and EU were not expecting such an influx even before F2P went live.

Game is semi f2p now on eu servers with the unlimited trial  (no time or levelimit) basically you can do everything apart from chat or trade and these restrictions will be lifted too next month with f2p launch. I just rectivated my old acc to play a little in advance bevore f2p and its very lively now  on every server i tried.

I'll be trying out TERA once it goes F2P. I'm actually surprised it didn't go B2P but whatever.  I think it's the best option available for a "GW2 break" as the combat mechanics are improved over the same old crap in most themeparks.  I'm not much for the questing design and it's linearity, but I'm sure in moderate doses it will be fine.

It's too bad there isn't a good mmo with nice graphics like TERA, but not in a fantasy setting, and not killing zombies.

All of my posts are either intelligent, thought provoking, funny, satirical, sarcastic or intentionally disrespectful. Take your pick.

I get banned in the forums for games I love, so lets see if I do better in the forums for games I hate.

I enjoy the serenity of not caring what your opinion is.

one developer must realise that if you add servers when game grows, you must be equally willing to remove servers when game shrinks.

You glass half empty guys kill me. It's cool they're on top of it so player's don't experience que times or lag enough said.

You mean you haven't heard of an MMO with great graphics, not a fantasy setting, and no zombies?

Cuz it's been around longer than WoW.

Also, when is the TERA F2P change date?

CE vet here on the EU servers. The lag is baaad.
Then again show me another game with gfx and avatars like this with this kind of combat in seamless continents and I'm sure the coding doesn't even come close to what TERA's old devs managed.
Why they didn't reactivate all the old sub accounts is beyond me.
I ended up subbing, if only for a bit. I couldn't wait for them to decide to give me my free time or not -_-
I've already got some QOL complaints but I'll try and stay positive...for now. :p

I think it's a fun game.  I just picked it up and it's much better than I had expected. The combat is great.  The quests aren't much to speak of, but aren't horrible either, they are just quests.  I mostly skip the quest dialog, but have noticed some funny stuff.

I'm sticking to the RP server though.  The community is really nice.  Global chat is abysmal, probably the worst of any of my main games, but I left that channel and 'area' and local chat are just fine.  I've seen some RP and stuff, but the game definitely has it's own flavor which I find distinctly refreshing.

I will have to agree with the general chat.  It is full of people who probably should be under a Drs. care.  My son happened to come in at one point and I had pretty much tunned it out of my mind and he started reading, and I quickly had to usher him out and make him promise not to say anything he read there.

Sadly some of the humor gets "drowned" out by most gamers because they just can't be bothered to read. I don't blame them, actually. Reading is tedious in MMORPGs. If I wanted to read, I'd stop playing, get a book and read it somewhere nice and quiet. I'm here to play a game. Would be much more "interactive" if there were some voice acting involved. I'm not talking about SWTOR over-the-top cutscenes and all, but just some voice acting at least for the NPCs and quests that truly matter. You know? Ah well, seems like we can't always have everything we want in life...

i liked TERA for the 3 months i played it, my main problem with it was that i started to really hit an EXP wall about 4 levels from cap.  and it just felt a lil insurmountable... almost like old school L2 where you would spend a day hunting and get 15% of a level.

but otherwise i liked the game a lot.  being a lancer was fun and the combat was rewarding to master.  plus poporis are cute ^^

RIP Ribbitribbitt you are missed, kid.

People have even less time to stop and listen to what an NPC has to say. Reason why Skyrim seems endless to me. I take my time.

I want that exact date.  For all I know it could go f2p Feb 28.   : (
