The Vendetta Online team has big plans to bring the game to iPad in its quest to become the multi-platform space title people turn to. A Kickstarter program has been launched to help make that dream come true.

"We'll be thrilled to bring our intense brand of multi-player space gaming to iPad family of devices," said John Bergman, CEO of Guild Software. "Our game offers a seamless transition between desktop and mobile, so players can easily switch back and forth between their iPad and their Mac without limitation."

All players and platforms share the same universe within Vendetta Online, so iOS users will rub elbows with those on Windows, Mac, Linux, Android and WinRT. Beyond iPad support, the Kickstarter could also help fund the next major expansion of the title's gameplay, including enhanced player-owned capital ships and territorial conquest, and is scheduled for completion near the end of 2013.

I think it's coming to the point that the Kickstarter teams deserves a big shout out for all the projects they effectively helped get off the ground, not just "games", but even music releases, etc.

That tiny little team has done some massive stuff over the years.

There isn't a "right" or "wrong" way to play, if you want to use a screwdriver to put nails into wood, have at it, simply don't complain when the guy next to you with the hammer is doing it much better and easier. - Allein
