Have you ever heard of a game that tried this?
Was there ever a game where you could get something that no one else could have once you got it? It could be a recipe, skill, or even a piece of loot. Something that each player only gets control of until they give up ownership taking on another unique item.
I want to do this but with the ability to sell the item as a monopoly. I think it would give players reasons to truly know they are special when they are the only one that can make or do whatever it is. I'd also like to see if it has been done and research what problems they may have encountered trying it and the scope they applied it.
