Tera Armor Activaition

So I have been trying to play some tera since its going F2P soon, but the account armor is saying im logging in from an unknown device. The code is sent to my email and i then input the code, yes very simple. except for I am not getting any emails from them. The support site needs me to log in so i can submit a ticket, chat with a emplyee and everything else. BUT I CANT FUCKING LOG IN! I dont see a special email or phone number i can use either. I would love for some help.

    8am tried today, asked for the armor, and the code was never sent to my email.

    tried again.

    tried a third time.

    waited an hour, tried again. nope.

    If they can't get the login to work...really?

    They expect people to buy the game...really?

    Sorry nephew pasted while I was AFK for a minute.  Try making a new account and going through the forums to try and get your old account back.

    I'll say I have been to TERA's CS site, and it's 24/7 support, but you need to log in from their site, with an armor code.

    They have live chat support, same deal, hours are 11am-8pm pst

    Pretty sure the support you listed is not for this game, if it is, my apologies, and then my opinion of Trion (Rift) goes to the crapper.

    I would, but I have this insanely strong feeling that if a company can't get the login to work in the game, I don't want to give them money to find out what else they can't do right.

    As far as the OP, I believe this may have been a bug.  Keep in mind that Account Armor is designed to protect your account from bad people, and this is a good thing.  Creating another account will give you a chance to let them know what happened.  It's a strange hoop, but I've heard that it does work.

    If in 1982 we played with the current mentality, we would have burned down all the pac man games since the red ghost was clearly OP. Instead we just got better at the game.

    All those numbers are for TRION not tera - tera no longer offers phone support.

    How can anybody confuse Trion and Tera? They both star with T? Sheesh....

    The armor code is a bit buggy. I tried logging into my account friday night and it said I needed and armor code. Same deal, it was never sent. However around 2pm yesterday I did get the codes (Like 11 of them considering I kept trying to resend the code). Fear not, it will be sent but if it's anything like my situation it could take upto 14 hours.

    I PM'd GM Minea about the problem, showing her the threads that have been popping up here and elsewhere and she made a topic about it for everyone.

    also if u need to contact customer support but cant log in (I had similar prob when swapped isp and lost e-mail), you can make a new account and chat with a gm they will do an id check and sort it out for you.  Tera customer support was very fast 1 min wait time to talk to a gm and they went out of their way to sort out my problem.

    I was asleep, but the time stamp on the post at en masse is the same as the 20 or so armor codes that arrived in my email, lol.

    Good to know they are responding, hopefully a fix is quick in coming, as I would like to support the game.

    The folks saying, 'talk to a GM on another account', I hear ya, but it's a no-go for me personally. I can't give money to a game that you can't log into, and I honestly don't think that's an unfair statement.

    I can understand that but I have to say that En Masse is actually really decent. They are one of the few companies that I have any faith in. At least when it comes to being earnest and genuine about their product and relationship with their clients.

    Well the email system works, but now the game doesn't read DirectX correctly. 3 fresh installs, oh well.

    So yeah, another bug with manifest not being able to download.

    Did find a bug fix for it, select the launch icon of your choice and make sure all users have 'full control' when launching the game. running as admin doesn't make it passed the bug, you need to change the launch icon's properties.

     

    I guess it's just coincidence they were plagued by these bugs when they announced their f2p launch, but, yeah bad timing and bad luck. hope the info helps those that made it this far.

I have had that issue with every online program I have run since 2012... you also can fix it by right clicking the folders, PROPERTIES - SECURITY - and give full control permissions to all users there. All games and programs in that folder and branch work after that...

     

    LOL So lame. I hope so many whiners leave and the new F2P crowd makes this title shine like AION US :-)

    2. Their forums are flooded with 100s of folk having the same bugs in the same order.

    Well we (as in 100s of people on the forums there) have done fixes and followed advice, I have gotten through to 99% of the download so far, and ended up with a new bug, now:

    'unable to open metafile'

    Here's some food for thought, I play almost every MMO under the sun on 3 comps and none of them can get this latest build of Tera to work. Though it did work in the beta. Not sure what they did, they are stating there are problems, and yes 100s of folk are screaming (nicely) on their boards about how they cannot download or login, same bugs. 1 thread is 46 pages long and grows 2pgs per hour.

    So whining? no. Telling people to not waste their time until the issues are fixed, more likely.

    And furthermore, it's not f2p yet, those of us trying to log in and play are either trying it out, and/or wanting to  purchase and support the game (become founders). but as it stands, neither can be accomplished.

    Sovrath, have you been having the "unable to download manifest/metafile" problem?  I've tried the fixes in the FAQ, and managed to get in once, but none of them are working for me now.  Looking at the sticky in the general forum, it seems that a lot of people are running into it.  This isn't making a favorable impression on a lot of returning/new people I'm betting.

    So I think i had encountered every bug in the series, hoping not to find anymore...but...

    I'm in the game, and once in, it runs pretty smooth.

    The last trick to get in i can offer is to leave the launcher up and go to sleep. I had a ton of no downloads because of bad sources etc... but when I woke up the game had finished and 'PLAY' was highlighted. only took 2.5 days, but hey, it's working.

    Just bad luck/coincidence all this broke when they released the news about their upcoming f2p move.

    aye, was about to come and post this. it's nice to see the company do this, but as I type this...we can't log into the game again.

    Same problem is occurring all over again, 'unable to download manifest'

    sigh.

    they have responded about this new problem, the common fix (working) is to go into the games launcher cache in Appdata/local/tera and delete the contents.

    game launches after that.

    Good to know,  I had the error when i launched it this morning but I just restarted it and it was fine.  I'm worried it might crop up on me again,  if it does i'll do what you suggest.
