I can't see why anyone would need more than 12 characters on a server but here you go. The FTP people can now purchase more character slots.

Finally - At last! Is this actually in now or coming later in the year?

I guess if you have 8 chars, and are preferred status you will need to buy 3 char slots, before you get an additional 1?

If people want to be thorough I can see reason to have more than 12 chars - There are 8 professions total, with 2 paths each, so that makes 16, then if you want to have them as the opposite gender, then that would be 32, and then maybe you wanted some more with different skill sets. That is what I probably would do, if playing through all the sides quests over and over again, was not a major headache, and there was plenty to do at end game for them all. That is what I did in SWG, but then my chars came to life at end game, and found many numerous ways to level up than doing the Legacy series of quests, from Tansarii, Tatooine to Talus.

It's from the latest patch, so it's live now.

Each purchase will increase the number characters that a player may mark as Active across all servers.

I really like that it's adding character slots will add them to all servers. Now we just need transfers.

    Also additional useful notes:

    UI

    General

    Galactic Trade Network

      • The "Unify to Chest" armor color option now works correctly for players and companions.
      • Vendors now have a "Sell Junk" button that can be used to automatically sell inventory items that would be sold when sending a companion to sell junk.
      • Four new item sorting options and a button to swap between ascending/descending (where applicable) have been added to the inventory and Cargo Hold windows.
      • Preferred Players can now post 5 sales at a time on the GTN. Previously, Preferred Players were incorrectly limited to 2 sales.

I haven't played in about a month, but why transfers?  I thought they resolved server populations a while ago, when they merged almost everything into 6 or 7?

No problem with polulation, but I would like to move one of my characters from one server to another now that we have more character slots available. I had Reps toons on one server and Imps on other, now I can combine them.

Also: many bugs were addressed in this patch. For more information here is a link

Ah, it would never be unlimited, as someone would find a way to script creating millions of characters.  Then posting a youtube video to challenge others =)

350 is an odd number though .. I wonder how that number was chosen?  ..Must be a multiplyer of the current average a sub has .. say 100X.  No idea. (ie 350 characters is 1% of the average player).  Or in other words, every account has 3.5 characters on average?

If every account created 350 characters then SWTOR would likely crash.

I have 25 so far...  my logic... as you mentioned to fully have all classes genre and dark/light side covered you need 32 characters... average number of servers for is 10 (I mean N/A separate then EU) - this would be 320 characters per server... they added 30 more in case you want to play on Oceanic /grin

I guess they think that 350 is as close to unlimited as it can get, as Hickman said in one of blogs... that that's that they think of doing...

I don't understand what you said.  Sorry!

Cant you explain more .. and show your work what you were trying to say?

edit - don't understand "10", as any relevance, or how if even closely resembled 350?

They changed some armor design in last patch as well.

I like that they finally made Revan robe look actually like Revan's robe - there are other changes to armor,.

Honestly I think they've done a good job in making the preferred experience better.

6 character slots, 5 ah slots, 4 action bars.

    Its a better experience now.

Anyone know if they raised the credit cap for preferred accounts? Thats still one of the harshes restrictions the f2p/preferred has.

    Playing: Nothing

    Looking forward to: Nothing

Meh 8 hours of down time and most of the bug fixes were things from the FTP patch, there still patching patches I see.

I love the game but the team they have working on this need to pull there socks up.

The two new armor sets look pretty nice as well. Still, the most important issue addressed with this patch were f2p restrictions.

To me Kotor version is still > TOR one of which they just changed the textures of the Inquisitor gear.

Notice how he doesn't have inflated tubes around the shoulders, then the bottom has also more details like the cloth going through the belt. Also the chest actually looks like a tarnished armor vs a cheap set of leater in TOR. He actually has protective bracers and hand protection.

But not as convenient as before.

Then they should have lef the option s to choose how to sort their characters in the players hands.

For people playing like 1-2 characters having the last played at top is nice but for others switching between many they'd rather have them sorted by name so they always know where is their character. Think muscle memory.

BTW these patch notes, content and bug fixes are very thin.

Also notice that they still did not fix basic stuff like LS blades being kept drawn on the companions belts.

Also, BW admitted that they need to work on Revan robe a little bit more, so it matches perfectly... some players are really upset about slight difference in color...

Since this is the thread with the latest patch info, I think it's better to ask here then making another thread, so here we go:

    - Have they fixed the "big butt" jedi knight/sith warrior robes visual glitch?

    - Are hotbars still not customizable for free and preferred status users? (if not, how much it costs?)

    - Is the commando class still not viable in pvp? (T-T)

    Thanks in advance.
