With now 35 years of lore and story to draw from an ElfQuest MMO would would have enough material to create a truely deep and consuming "World." It is the perfect environment for a return to sandbox fantasy.
i demand this.
All of my posts are either intelligent, thought provoking, funny, satirical, sarcastic or intentionally disrespectful. Take your pick.
I get banned in the forums for games I love, so lets see if I do better in the forums for games I hate.
I enjoy the serenity of not caring what your opinion is.
I don't hate much, but I hate Apple© with a passion. If Steve Jobs was alive, I would punch him in the face.

X-Com if done right could be an amazing MMO property.
But after thinking for a bit, I'd have to go with Dungeon Keeper. It could be absolutely magnificent as an MMO if done correctly. Ah well, at least War for the Overworld will scratch the SP itch come later this year...
Edit: Dark Sun would be awesome too.
It's a game in japan so I can say this...
Sword art online.
Years of playing and still unexplored content, in game housing, completely skill based, etc etc etc...
(yeah this is kind of a cop out answer haha)
(I hope Star Citizen comes close, we'll see)

Definitively an MMO I'd be interested to play.

That Guild Wars 2 login screen knocked up my wife. Must be the second coming!
Kickstarter: Stuff I'm supporting
The Matrix Online - Done right anyways.
The first levels are spent "going down the rabbit hole," and are more single player story driven.
The mid levels are open world where you fight baddies and run from agents.
The higher levels you fight agents and finally begin to go into the real world...which takes you to:
Max level you can travel freely between the real world and the Matrix. You have your own ship and you fight the machines as they attempt to raid Zion.
Seems fun to me anyways. /shrug

if not then maybe elf quest or Road Hogs, think TMNT meets the Road Warrior, or even a fantasy MMO based in the Palladium RPG world.
Street Fighter would be awesome!
Diablo. ala diablo 2 era.
Elder Scrolls (done properly, as stated above.)
Giant: Citizen kabuto
and lol @ zombies ate my neighbors. that would be friggin awesome
Torchlight II is the only game that really comes to mind for me. Maybe Fallout 3 or Fallout: New Vegas, but I'm not really sure about those. I don't know if those two games would translate into an MMO that I'd enjoy playing. I think a Bioshock MMO might be cool, but it would have to have its own story line, separate from the first Bioshock games. Maybe one set just before the civil war(s).
I can not remember winning or losing a single debate on the internet.
DYNASTY WARRIORS! I mean a real MMO. Not *the* DW MMo of now. ^^ I want such epic mass combat in normal MMOs. XD
Other than that... hm. Traveller, the PnP game.

Mount and Blade.
Can't think of anything else right now.
Self-pity imprisons us in the walls of our own self-absorption. The whole world shrinks down to the size of our problem, and the more we dwell on it, the smaller we are and the larger the problem seems to grow.
