Orrrrrrrrrrr I could ask my real friends to play with me?

Wow that was so hard and cost so much money.

  • AkulasAkulas Member RarePosts: 3,007
Really? Even if you started a game by yourself it's easy to make new friends. eg: Wow: Stormwind cooking daily events you get the occasional random person to say hi to which usually ends up in 1 friend.

This isn't a signature, you just think it is.

After looking at the site the "Rent a Slave" option is essentially, no literally, powerleveling and would break most games rules.  The "Rent a Friend" option is what it says, paying someone to play with, not for, you.  There really isn't anything against most ToS/EULA in that.  If it were, they'd be able to ban you for buying your friend a copy of the game so you can play together.

That being said, I'll be you guys friends for a fraction of what these jerks are charging!

The shitty part about real friends is they have minds of their own.

Stupid non-submissive free-thinking stupid friends are stupid.

This is a joke right?  Even the english on the site is horrible.  How hard is it to properly translate?

Oh boy... It's like Barbie going commercial all over again. I mean if she's so popular then why do you have to "buy" her friends?

A MMO escort service, wow this genre has sunk to an all time low.

These "services" generally always end up being covers for sex chat, lol.  Can't believe this site is advertising for it.

    You make me like charity

Most of the nonsocial gamers are casuals that dont really care for the online community. Theyre also the ones who are the most likely to bot, buy gold, and to engage in services like the one mentioned in this article

Most memorable games: AoC(Tryanny PvP), RIFT, GW, GW2, Ragnarok Online, Aion, FFXI, FFXIV, Secret World, League of Legends (Silver II rank)

This site has gone way downhill. Its only a matter of time bwfore they start advertising goldselling botting sites and selling our email addresses to hackers and goldsellers. Disgusting.

Well, yes, it is... but you are really paying for someone to be on when your on and do what you want to do, with the final result of their work being your property at the end. It's like saying someone with a butler or housemain is 'buying a friend', if that makes sense?

It's more akin to paying someone to watch a film with you, or go to the pub with you. It is really rather tragically sad. Kudos to the company trying to profit from it though.

I don't see it that was as I have many friends to go to the bar with or go see a movie, however, none of them play mmos.  I have my family for that:)

Yesterday, I saw a giant hardcover book based on Star Wars: The Old Republic.

Since when is Tuesday a direction?

In a world where you can clean your own house in a way that you are satisfied without paying a dime, why would someone hire a housecleaner?

In a world where someone can just ask someone out and eventually take part in a physical relationship, why do escorts exist?

Why hire a Sherpa when you can befriend one?

I agree that it seems silly to hire a player to play a game with you but if there is a market and peopel have the money and both are consenting I don't see the issue. And I'd offer my services in a heart beat if I could make real money doing this.

My thought is that, not knowing the people behind this service, I'm guessing it's a way that gold sellers/powerlevelers can get around the stigma of selling gold and powerleveling and make money is a way that seems more legit.

Supply and demand, I get it.. but wow.. I weep for humanity..

Why weep? This is actually pretty reasonable as a service I think...

I mean, people play for PLs and buy fake gold all the time... at least with this you are actually playing the game, being actively present in the word (hell, you are actually adding to the active pop of your game), and enjoying the content as presented.

I am lucky enough to have a static duo and enough in game friends to not need this, but I can see it appealing. Having someone to play with you and do the things you want when you want would suit a lot of folks.

Paying for a friend.. That's just sad lol

    Your not married then ?

Well I think cybering is part of the service, I mean it was advertised as anything...

Is this cheaper than a 1-900 number? Anyone know?

Isn't this inherently against the Terms of Service or EULA of most/all MMO's to share accounts? As it says, if you wanna level up your character, crafting, etc., while at work, sleeping, etc., they will do it. I don't see how else it can get done.

This is a very shady service and I think the ad should be removed from this site.
