Yeah I grabbed it as well. I made sure to read the return policy (Which is witihn 10 days) and can't wait to (Hopefully) play on Monday.
I await the slew of "Cancelled my pre-order" threads that will swamp the forums once players realise DFUW is not for them having played the beta for free and contributed nothing.

For some folks on these forums, this might be true. But there are thousands who have played 1.0 who know what we're getting into. For us, these rules do not apply.

The first one failed? Last time I checked they continued subscriptions, didn't close servers, and were able to clearly make a profit. So maybe you should look for the definition of "Failure"

Sounds like a personal vendetta. I don't understand the Us vs Them mentality when it comes to games. Options and choices are good things. Darkfall is also pretty different from the standard fare. You don't have to like it but no need to want the game to fail.

Yes they have said that - you still need to pre-purchase 1 month sub.
and when you look at the next billing cycle it says next payment is in March 2. So I guess initial planned release is Feb 2.

but several beta's have allowed your character to transfer to release.

Well, I think you can get your money back if you cancel it before launch.
Think they would only charge the money when it actually start billing months at game launch.

Wasn't one of the reasons that the game was delayed because they felt it was unfair to players that were going to purchase from steam?
With that in mind, why would they allow a player to keep their beta character, since it would give them a considerable advantage?
