ok, now is this obt only open to KS numbers or is it an international obt? cause its pointless claiming its a fully open test if its only open to local users. yes yes i know i can spoof a ks and all that jaz but i would rather not. and see no value in doing so, as that would detract from any actual testing.
so can anyone join this obt or not?

I think this is for Korean players only. But I know XL games does allow western gamers to play if they promote the game here in the west. If your part of the media or the owner of a gaming community they will usually let you in.
On Nov.15th XL games removed the requirment to have a KSSN. So you don't need a KSSN to play ArcheAge, nor will you ever need one.

But if you do sign up, it asks you for a ID pin or a valid Korean phone number, credit card and address.
Sorry guys, but its only free for Korean citizens, its not an international OBT.
Its still undecided if they are going to invite press from the west.

besides, i think by trying to "perfect" the game, they could ruin it...graphics and combat system are allready now close to being outdated and if it releases in 2014/15 internationally (last i heard was 2014 china so i cant see na/eu before that), it will be quite outdated and other newer options will be available in the sandbox genre...it is in dev now 6 years? will be close to 8-9 years once it releases, that is simply to long in such a fast moving market...i think they will have passed the sweet spot by then...i predict that by 2014 no tab target combat mmo's will release anymore and no one will play them anymore except a few exceptions... its really a shame... i cant understand their strategy
i mean even with the die hard fans, look at games like black desert online which looks like arche age 2 before nr 1 is even released! and this one is expected to release in 2014 as well...

Just went to checkout a CB3 beta video of ArcheAge and I'm sorry to say that visually, it already doesn't qualify as something I'd sacrifice my time for.
And I still play WoW.

Very good news, it's good to see the game moving forward with confidence.
I am happy to wait 'till it hits over here though before trying it tbh... I have enough games to keep me happy for a long while and would rather see a release ready product then burn out on testing it.

LOL if that actually happens I'll see about convincing my wife to start her own gaming channel (yes she does in fact play MMORPG's along side me, currently GW2. That is when our kids aren't preventing us from doing so, which is often).

There's been 2 other betas since CBT3 plus an upgrade from Cry Engine 2 to CE3. So I guess you're just one of "those" wow players eh?

Haha, while I would also agree there is something to be said about watching what you post on the internet a few photos of my wife which already exist on a number of other sites is hardly one of them.
Regarding the clothing style, it was VERY appropriate to the party we were headed out to.
The "Asian" style of the home in the picture was from when we were living in Korea, so it too was fairly appropriate for the period of time in which it was taken (a few years ago).
Relax people, the photos were thrown up in jest and were meant to be light hearted in a thread that otherwise is a bummer for most people due to the registration restrictions.

I play WoW too, and this guy is a WoW fanboy to the death, you'd have to be blind to believe that WoW is a better looking game compared against Aracheage, there are scenes in Archeage that melt the eyes, in a good way.
