reading the interview, i have to admit is sounds amazing. Can they deliver i don't know but it give me a good feeling about this game. Pitty not more people are following this game it has so much potential ^^ would ofc be cool if this info would be on the official game website
Sure, it's DAOC 2 in spirit... And that's the root of a lot of problems. The team wanted to make DAOC 2 and not really a TES game. It represents another IP better than it meets core TES fan expectations outside of a comsetic skin. It's too early to tell if they will be rewarded for it or not but we are already seeing the forum fires around the net.
DoaC is a good game and I love TES series but whenever I pictured TES mmo it was a sandbox.
I hope the game does well but I know I am passing. I dislike the megaserver approach, I prefer smaller servers with community ( allows for players to build rep on server which cuts down on the asses imo ). Also the pvp is too sanctioned and safe for my tastes. I enjoy the thrill that open world pvp brings.

Oh, we've never heard that one before.
Self-pity imprisons us in the walls of our own self-absorption. The whole world shrinks down to the size of our problem, and the more we dwell on it, the smaller we are and the larger the problem seems to grow.
I dont think its like daoc as much as you think. The world pvp may be, but I think skills and classes are completely different. As well as aiming mechanics. There is so much more to a game than just how the lines are drawn for pvp that its absurd to call it merely daoc2.
"...since every class can wear any armor and use any weapon"
I hope this isn't taking a direction where you can pick what class and skills you want on the fly. I really miss the restrictions/distinction between classes.

I have to agree. Too many people forget that what made the 3 faction PvP so interesting was that each faction had it's own set of classes. And not just "reskinned" versions of the same class, but different classes with different abilities, weapons, and skills. 3 faction PvP is only half the equation.

You could also check out the rest of the website and see what the game is about instead of asking here to get second hand information.
You pick your class at character creation, and just like the quote, you can use any armor or weapon just like TES games.

People have started to grasp that "wow clone" doesnt really work here, with the deep progression system, no tab target, limited skill bar, action combat etc, so they are grasping for something that does
I don't get the daoc 2 vibe apart from the ava and they chucked a few open du.felons in there.
One of the big things about daoc is ZERO INSTANCING. If they were making a true daoc 2 it would actually be closer the single player elder scrolls games than what they are presenting. (especially when you consider the alternative ffa and coop rulesets, which sadly this game won't have with its stupid mega server idea)
There will never be a true daoc 2. The closest you can get for a daoc fan is planetside 2, well from a pvp point of view, obviously it doesn't come close to daoc pve wise.
If only someone decent had bought mythic instead of bloody ea.

Should of just made a DaoC 2. Seriously.

Sounds more like Warhammer 2 imo.
Crappy zergfest zone flipping back and forth.
