I'm actually shocked

in Final Fantasy XIV
I'm shocked that with the game starting Alpha phase 3 there has not been meany leaks.All I know of are 3 . One from a JP player during phase one. and 2 from NA region. Despite the NDA. I remember V1 there were loads and loads of leaks. And to be honest I am glad there had not been more. That is telling me SE got the right testers in place and there focused on doing the job right.

    SE is quick to ban the videos, but some of them still up I think. besides, I think the tester is busy "playing" rather than "testing" it..lol

    Go on 4chan., there are almost daily leaks with vids, pictures and impressions all the time.

    I don't expect much out of the game anymore since square has bascally made it into world of warcraft, so ff14 now has lost anything unique that it had :(. Not sure if i'll bother with it, because there are tons of other mmo's free 2 play and otherwise that I can get the exact same gameplay out of.

    Being a pessimist is a win-win pattern of thinking. If you're a pessimist (I'll admit that I am!) you're either:

    A. Proven right (if something bad happens)

    or

    B. Pleasantly surprised (if something good happens)

    Either way, you can't lose! Try it out sometime!

    You have absolutely no idea what the gameplay is going to be like in the full release, and farther than 15 levels in, or how group play will pan out with the skill chains and limit breaks. The basics may be similar to other games early on, and while soloing, but it looks like group play is where the game will shine, and will be a good bit different than other games.

    But I also don't know for sure. Either way, as with every game, "exact same" is a bit overexaggerated.

    Wow has housing?

    Wow has chocobo raising?

    Wow has Hamlet Defense?

    Wow has Caravan Escorts?

    Wow has Limit Breaks?

    Wow has FATEs?

    I could go on and on....

    Just because they are borrowing concepts that have been tried and tested and works doesnt make it a clone of a game, it's all about the systems, and FFXIV ARR based on it's features has tons of features that wow will never have.
