The official EVE Online blog has been updated with the news that a new CCP dev incursion is likely to happen at nearly any time. During the incursion, the dev fleet will make its way from Polaris to an unspecified location to 'rain vengeance upon any who dare come our way'. For those with long memories, this also happened in 2011.
In New Eden, the holidays are a much more dangerous time. Presents aren't exchanged as much as they are pried from the cold, dead hands of all those who dared stand in your way. And it's in that spirit that the Dev Incursion will roll out.
Once CCP is out in force, it's up to you players to come out and get rid of us! Get your friends and form a fleet and come to make us pay. But be careful, because we definitely will not pull any punches. Last year, we had several rather epic slugfests that ended in much death on both sides. This year will not be any different.

This might be cool if it wasn't a known fact that CCP cheats and hacks in their own game.

Saying things like its a known fact that CCP cheats and hacks in their own game is implying wide-spread abuse of Dev powers by the company as a whole.
Obviously this is far far from the truth.
What I'm seeing here is a lone couple of Devs succumbing to temptation. It happens in every game and the fact that CCP wants to play their own is a good thing IMO.

All CCP has done as compared to the previous dev scandal and admission is change to never ever admit anything, deny everything, and then smear the whistleblower.
The fanboys then fall over themselves to join the mob in smearing the whistleblower and saying there is no evidence (by evidence, they mean CCP coming out and admitting wrongdoing). That is like saying no court can ever convict someone unless there is a guilty plea.
Combine that with an internal affairs division run by someone who is paid by the same people they investigate...can we say conflict of interest? Of course it is in their interest to never find CCP guilty. Ever wonder that of all the scandals and dodgy shady dealings CCP has been embroiled, their internal people claim every single thing was unfounded. They did the same for the dev scandal that was eventually admitted to, and that was because that particular dev made the mistake of confessing, forcing CCP to then back pedal. To recap those events: The dev cheated. CCP claimed they had investigated and found NO cheating. Then players found the dev admitting on an outside site to cheating. Then CCP changed their story to saying they had known of the cheating but that it had been dealt with. To use the same analogy of a court, this is like letting the accused run their own investigation into themselves. There is no reason for the accused to ever find themselves guilty.
Combine that with the well known insider dealings CCP devs have had in the past with certain individuals and alliances, and it is clear how this "Dev Incursion" might be used to damage their in-game enemies under the guise of "Devs having fun", or alternatively a way to let their friends have goodies in the form of loot.
As a former player, I and my friends left because we were involved in some of those incidents where CCP was accused, and we know for a fact that some of what CCP claimed was a lie as it conflicted with what we had directly experienced and knew of the actual individuals involved. Except the community seems drunk on the Kool-Aid that nothing short of a CCP admission of guilt seems to be sufficient evidence. We left because we don't want to be paying money for a rigged game.
CCP, as corrupt as they come. The sandbox is a lie if the devs are playing favorites and having in-game enemies. Devs are supposed to be referees, not partisan participants.
Always interesting how people can't sepparate the individuals from the group.
CCP does this or that.
A CCP Dev does this or that.
These aren't the same thing, unless you're really just interested in your own smearing.
Actually; it's you that have no case VassagoMael. You can try to defend them like a little fanboy all you want... Devs cheat in Eve Online; bottom line. There's even one that admitted to it.
You don't even know if they "took out the trash" anyway.
This is a persistent game world... where actions you took 6 years ago still affect players today.
The dev cheating from CCP is garbage.
