Need more clarification on this matter...

I dont have many time to enjoy this event and i feel little urge to login, untill i know more on this matter.

Yesterday i done FotM with PUG and we had to stop due to one guy Disconnected. Once again when i got invited, my game crashed onto Desktop. When i returned, all of those new PUG guys were already knee-deep in dungeon and was like "Oh, you crashed, we didnt even noticed". I gave up, frustrated, and went to bed :(

Anyway, more on the matter...

What worried me more is, that i already saw the messages in /y chat about requiring minimal difficulty. Now, lets say i log in for a week or two from now. Could it be that i am done with FotM forever, because im not keeping up with difficulty norm? Will there be any way for difficulties to reset global-wise (i.e. WvW weekly rotation)?

In-short question: will i be forced to do FotM all the time without pauses for at least 3 times a day in order to keep up with the rest?

I am thankfull in advance for proper answers...

    Really?

Interesting, I honestly did not know this. I'm on difficulty 6 and didn't realise there would be a reset.

Keep inmind that once you get passed difficulty lvl 6, it gets hard enough for even coordinated groups with voice to finish reliably. It only takes 3 completions to go up in difficulty (+ a boss at the end every few jumps). Some of these mini dungeons can be completed in under 15 mins with the right group. Usually it doesn't take longer than an hour to get each difficulty lvl (and a good chunk of that time is spent getting the group together).

As time goes on, I doubt you'll see many PUGs lfg passed difficulty 6-7. That only takes a few hours to get if you're good / have a group of other skilled players w/ you.  If your main concern is their difficulty. That you don't have enough time to get good at them. You aren't alone. There are a lot of players who find them hard, and have trouble just making it to difficulty lvl 3.

If you have friends / guildies ingame, they can always go down to your difficulty lvl and help. The fractals are also good practice, as they aren't as hard as some of the other dungeons, but they have mechanics that force you to pay attention, play as a group, & learn how to keep yourself alive.

It doesnt reset, thats complete bull, check the dev tracker in the forums.

You will have to get a good dungeon running guild if you want to progress, i think the fractal cap is 99.

Edit; Here the thread where it says there is NOT a weekly reset

I read that there really is no cap... Not that it matters few people will ever get to 99 anyways, surely not me.

But joining a good guild is probably the right way to go. The way the game is made you could start a specific guild for this dungeon if you like too, there will always be some new 80s and alts joining up anyways.

In my case my guild will help up later 80s when that is needed, just like we run storymode dungeons with everyone who gets to the right level. My guild are  my IRL friends and their IRL friends so that might be different from many others, we just play to have fun and enjoy playing with eachother, if I run some easier stuff to help others that is fine for me.

A good guild is the key for at least me to enjoy a MMO. In some games I been recruited by total strangers and in others I played with regular friends but no matter what I try to find a nice guild as soon as I can.

    Constantly PUGing gets annoying.

I hope the OP checks back. It doesn't reset, ever. By this time next week I doubt you'll be able to find groups looking for anyone lower than level 10. And whoever said level 6+ is hard doens't know what they are talking about. All of them are fairly easy. What happens is that the bosses get more HP and more adds spawn. So instead of getting harder, since the boss mechanics dont' seem to change, it just starts taking more time.
