2 character lot cap is server wide?

in Star Wars: The Old Republic

The title says it all...

I have 9 characters on one server, 1 character on another server, and 1 character on a third server so i have 11 characters total. For some reason i cant access the server where my 9 characters are located, it says its unavailable although it says server is up. Anyway, i log in to the other servers where i only have 1 character and try to make another character (limit of 2 character slots so i have one space available there) and it says that in order to make another character i must delete 11 of my characters.....

is this a joke, EA?

    They are quite serious  ...  about pushing even more people away from their game.  I don't believe they've even made an option to unlock character slots with CCs.

    You can unlock up to 12 slots

    You can unlock up to 12 slots

    I haven't seen that unlock for sale anywhere.

    The only way I know of to get the 12 slots is to subscribe.

    I can't even create new characters on servers when I have no changers.  I get a message saying I have to delete 26 characters... I don't even have 26 characters.

    Same here. Though i have 11/2 charecter slot available could access them all.

    I am also having problems, I had around 9 toons (1 was my main). So I deleted all my lowbie alts so I just have the one toons how yet it still says I have 9 slots used up and I cant make any more :/

    You've obviously been misinformed. The point of Free to Play is to get you to pay something, not give you unlimited replays for free.

    However, if there are going to be limits they should work. If you delete all but one of your characters, you should be able to start another one. Deleted characters should not count towards your character limit.

    I can not remember winning or losing a single debate on the internet.

    Nope this is the error message you get:

    "You have exceeded the maxiumum character limit.   To create a new charcter you must delete 15 characters"

    The sad part is these jokers at EA cannot even get F2P right.

    Maybe they're counting the characters in your login name? I don't know. It doesn't sound like something that's working as intended.
