Normally I don't care if a game I played goes F2P, (Lotro, for example,  I had just gotten tired of playing long before it went F2P), but SWTOR was a completely unfinished product and a joke of a game when it was released, I feel entitled to some compensation. We all the only reason the game is F2P is because it was and is terrible...
That's right. You get nothing. You showed no loyalty to the game, so why should the game show loyalty to you? You'll get what everyone else who doesn't want to give EA money gets. Everyone else, who wants to give EA money will get something more.
    Your argument is fail.

Those who spent money on the game + subscription will get nothing, unless, they subscribe right before the Freemium (FTP) transition.

The only way to get a few bucks back in Cartel Coins is to spend 15 bucks to resubscribe, before Nov 15.

Loyalty to SWTOR is meaningless.  It's all about "subscribe now!" ... which is what F2P'ers will constantly see.

The argument makes just as much sense as expecting to get something for nothing. Wait, even more of something for nothing than other people who are also getting something for nothing.

Those people left the game. What possible reason could EA have for giving them something for free? They aren't going to pay EA anymore money, so giving them something for free is a waste of time.

I would go so far as to say that SWToR is better off without those people in the game. They expect something for nothing, and they whine about not getting something for nothing.

I can not remember winning or losing a single debate on the internet.

Here is a little tidbit from a post I started.  I think it fits this perfectly.

Has todays ever changing society started to creep up into MMO's? I myself have no issue paying $15 ($9 if i do 3 months at a time) paying for something i play 10-20hrs a week. If i get to a point where I am not playing it as much i stop paying. When i come back I start up. But todays gamers seem to be more focused on it says f2p but I can't play the entire game. Stop whining you are not entitled to Jack!! Most F2p games you could never pay a penny but you will need to put in an effort you will need to put in time to earn enough game credits to move along. These models are not freebies and handouts 2 play. Stop your whining and stop feeling like you are entitled to play a game free becauae your not.

For the guy who has sensitive eyes.

It's cool you get your moneys worth out of it. The OP is merely trying to get his. Not everyone ...in-fact not very many people at all got what they thought they paid for with this game hence the fact its going f2p. Your opinion of is it worth it or not? is just that an opinion. I'm not sure who wouldnt feel entitled to something for this flop. half of your post is a blanket statement and hardly fits at all to the OP.

No I think it does fit him very well.  He is complaining over a game that cost $75 almost  a year ago.  He says it was terrible now and still is.  That is his opinion and he is entitled to that.  But what exactly would he like from a game that he already feels is terrible and horrible?  Just becuase someone made a mistake bought something they thought they would like and turns out they didnt like it does NOT entitle them to anything.  Best thing to do would be grow up and move a long not pout your not getting anything free.

1st of all I'm not pouting about anything. And yea he bought a game that was overpriced played it for 2 months and he feels ripped off. Heaven forbid any game company give a rats azz about customer sati.....wait this is EA who gives a crap I'm going back to fixing my server

    Totally agree.

They can spin it how the hell they like. But it doesn't change the fact that it's someone complaining about not getting something for nothing.

EAware u wont get my $15 a month even if u through in 1000 complimentary coins. U r expecting something for nothing.

People just still angry that the game they expected to be their next home for number of years, turned out to be a cardboard box.

If the game was so terrible why did you not only play your FREE first month, but you then payed a subs fee to play on for another month?

Face it, SWTOR isn't the greatest mmorpg, but it is arguably a really good single player game.

You clearly got plenty of enjoyment out of it or you wouldn't have resubbed.

Do you really honestly still think you didn't get your moneys worth?

I played for just the two months as well, but i certianly got my moneys worth and more.

Expresso gave me a Hearthstone beta key.....I'm so happy :)

I was subbed for 3 months and got 450 CC's. I'd contact EA regarding that.

so much false info flying around this thread it should be closed seriously . You get cartel coins for all the months you subbed for before free to play started even if you do not sub to the game before the middle of DECEMBER (not nov anymore) If you sub to SWTOR you will get bonus coins and an additional 500 coins for the sub based around how many months you had a sub for like me i got 450 for 3 months of sub plus 500 for being a sub at begining of ftp conversion plus bonus 200 coins or something like that last i checked for being a sub at ftp release. You will still get your free coins for past subs you payed for and you will still be prefered status even if you do not sub again ever. I had 450 coins on my account even before i subbed so its been verified already.

Is that supposed to be a joke? If I go to a restaurant and order a steak and they don't cook it enough, I can send it back and they will cook it longer. Only with the video game industry do you have to put up with products that don't work.

God I hate having to defend this game...

MMO's are not products.  They are services.  You don't have to like it, but that doesn't change the fact.  If you don't like the service you are getting, you can stop paying for it.

I disagree. You purchase the game which is a product but continuing the subscription I guess in the vaguest sense could be a service.

It's not my opinion.  It's the terms of service you agree to before playing.  It states that it's a service.

    You make me like charity

And it always was in the FAQ and as the screenshot David posted clearly shows a very clear link to get an explaination of the rewards. ALL emails rever to their site for more information, people chosing not to look at the additional information that is their own mistake.

They also gave atleast 1 vanity pet and alot of free game time to former and current players.

Not only you have to subscribe to get the "free" points (don't laugh...), but you only get 2 quickslot bars if you don't, which makes the game totally unplayable.

Well done Bioware, or rather, Electronic Arts, but you won't get a cent from me by trying to blackmail me into paying.

I just logged into my account, and I have 100 Cartel Coins. I haven't paid them anything since I stopped playing. I also have a "Preferred" status, which is the status anyone who is a former subscriber gets. So unless I get into the game and there's a warning telling me I can buy anything unless I subscribe, I've gotten a little over a dollar's worth of cartel coins. I have indeed gotten something for nothing.
