Expect it to get worse now that game devs have realized online porn is conservatively a $14 billion dollar a year industry.
There are a whole slew of MA rated games coming down the line that feature more and more hardcore sex, as developers try and capitalize on even a small peice of that $14 billion dollar peice of the pie.
I was looking over Duffy’s site HERE regarding the F2P shop items and prices and stumbled on the bikini panties they are selling. Is this for real. I mean really? I never thought their cash grab would come to this... this quickly.
And the problem was again...? Slaves, slave outfits, dancers, entertainers, everday life in the Star Wars universe, just because none of the films are about this side of the Star Wars does not mean that it is wrong. Also, you dont have to buy them if you dont want to and all that common sense stuff. Talk about cash grabs when epic armor sets makes their way into the cash shop, bai.

Watching the Conan movies , vs watching the Star Wars movies , I'd say it easily fits in the AoC setting.
The Star Wars one ? Not so much.
Except for the fact that the slave bikini outfit is one of the most iconic outfits in the whole of Star Wars and everything
Except for the fact that scene and outfit stood out because it was THE EXCEPTION to the rule , that was the point of it it , a slave outfit , not one would choose to run around and fight in.
Again , putting on loincloths and fighting fits in Hyboria , but in a Star Wars universe I can't remember any Jedi or Sith choosing dto do so.
I realize most of you don't care that EA/Bioware doesn't care a whit about the actual universe and neither do you , but there's no way you can try and actually say it "fits" the setting.
The scene you refer to again reinforces it stood out as the rare exception to the norm.

If thats your problem then practically all of the armor in SWTOR shouldnt exist honestly. And I do care about the universe, I just dont see a problem with one of the most iconic outfits from the franchise existing in the game (the reason its iconic is irelevant).
Would you care as much if there was stormtrooper armor (or the old-republic equivalent) in the shop - and jedi's got to wear them? Because that would be the exact same issue you seem to have. Do you want every single jedi to be wearing identical brown robes in the game? Because thats what the movies show us.
Also you say no jedi/sith choose to wear this stuff to fight - obligatory Darth Talon mention:
These'll only be hot when they finally add playable Wookies....in leopard-fur panties.
Self-pity imprisons us in the walls of our own self-absorption. The whole world shrinks down to the size of our problem, and the more we dwell on it, the smaller we are and the larger the problem seems to grow.

Of course neither does Huttball , so not really surprised either.
It was more important for them to have a ball game where Jedi and Sith play than having an actual galatic war between the sides working , so I don't think there is a low that EA/Bioware won't go if they can get a dime out of it.
So you never noticed princess Leia in the gold bikini, or the countless dancing bikini Twi'leks?
Skimpy clothing is all over Star Wars. Hell, I don't think I've ever seen a female Twi'lek who was not in a bikini, in anything Star Wars.
I'm surprised the Devs even let you create a female Twi'lek in SWTOR, without forcing you into a bikini outfit
Hehe first thing that came to my mind also......I know its hard to believe but there are plenty of lonely guys on hte internet....Bikins in the cash shop just might sell well.

At least they're in a cash shop and not a vending machine.

Something what stood out in 1983 is a common thing 30 years later
Besides it's really not like SWTOR is overwhelmed by bare skin bodies. it's actually pretty rare.

OMFG! My childhood memories!
Looks like Bioware hired some perverts in the art department... but hey I'm not complaining, those are some nice screenshots.
Form a mental picture of Jar-Jar in these...
Only then you will know the true power of the dark side...

What's the deal with the axe?
simple answer....>>> DESPERATION..
When the ship is sinking you will grasp on to anything to stay alive.. in this case "SEX" sells.. Just that simple
These'll only be hot when they finally add playable Wookies.
Then SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY

The bikini outfit has been in since launch, one on nar shadda and two versions on the security key vendor. This is just a new model.
You can already change the color with the unify color to chest option.
