Does it mean that F2P still level at the same pace as players did on release?  Or does it mean that they actually get less XP than that and will need to grind levels later on?

That's all that matters to me.  I don't care if subscribers get XP boosts, but I do care if F2P means you have to grind XP because they nerfed the XP per turnin or kill.

Honestly, depending on how much XP has been nerfed this could end up being a good thing. :P It was WAY too easy to outlevel content in TOR, and this was especially true if you went for a varied experience along the way (quests, warzones, flashpoints, etc.).

That was not my experience.  but as a Sith assasin I skipped a lot of mob packs so that contributed.  there was also a mystery quest on the fleet that sent me back to a planet later on.  I didn't see that quest until I was almost past the level to make it worth the return.

If XP is nerfed from the release version, there are definitely going to be issues.  But they have since added that daily area which will help.

From Demon Sherbert- "Well, now BioWare is letting players have all that story content for free! That’s not to say there won’t be restrictions – Free-to-Play players will earn experience more slowly, for example, and several aspects of the gameplay experience are limited."

Well, I can think of one advantage of earning experience more slowly: less of a chance to out level content.

Since when is Tuesday a direction?

I'm really amused they picked that date.

Well i had my time and for the past month have hardly even logged in, i still have about 1 month left after which i am 80% sure i will be dropping the game as i am bored already. If a game is boring after 4mths play then it is not going to improve is it.

I will now more than likely make a return to (cough) pokemon battles and panda's and see what that is like, after all i still have a gametime card left for it.

May also take a look at some other games - Kingdoms of Amalur-reckoning (£9 amazon), Skyrim (£20 amazon not sure though), x-com enemy unknown (£29) and an older game compilation trology (afterlight, afterlife and aftershock) at £2 but so far unsure if these will work on windows 7 64bit as 60% say no and 30% say yes and the remainder dont even say on reports i have looked at.

Any other games worth a look?

    more slowly than ???

To make it simple, have they stated they are nerfing XP for F2P players?  Because they 100% could just be giving XP buffs to non F2P.

Does it say anywhere that they are NERFING F2P XP from the current version?  Or is it unclear?  Because I haven't seen anything definitive.

The funny thing is that lots of SWTOR players were asking for ability to disable XP. It's way to easy to outlevel content in SWTOR, it seems that they took care about if for F2P, how about subscribers? Can we get potions to slow down XP? I would buy few!!!!

Slowing down XP would be nice to stay in the lv 1-49 PVP bracket longer.  That bracket had faster queue times and far less premades (who ROFLSTOMP'ed everyone and turtled Huttball for more kills).

There is a problem there though, namely that PVP for Freemiums is limited to 5 matches per week.  It can be unlocked for ~ $2.50 per week ($10 per month), which isn't really proportionate to the A la Carte that people were looking forward to, especially if doing PVP in conjunction with another weekly unlock game element.

I will definitelly get personal trainer. from Cartel Market.  This is a cool thing.

    1.23 Darth Malgus Holostatue

Looks like Darth Malgus found a new job after False Emperor.. he is now your personal class trainer! Submitted by Andilus. Cooldown is 1m, lasts 20 seconds, and useable by Imperial classes for the trainer function (Republic characters can still summon the statue, just can’t train with it).

    darthmalgusholostatue

    darthmalgusholostatue2darthmalgusholostatue3

    1.24 Satele Shan Holostatue

Same function as Darth Malgus but only allow Republic characters to train. Submitted by McDan1el & Vesra

They really are pushing those gambling packs, which cost about $4 each.  I wonder what the new subscriber expenditures will be .. was $15 a month ... now ... $30 a month?  $50 a month? :-)

It optional:) so you don't have to ever click on this golden icon.

I am definitely going to get several gaming packs LOL, but I already have 2500 + 250 at launch CC earned. I also decided that I will add about $20 bucks in addition to sub monthly if stuff will be coming and I will like them. That's my way to support the game I love.

    • The most expensive package for Cartel Coins: $39.99 for 5500 Coins. (137 Cartel Coins per dollar.)
    • Several additional packages will be available in between those two prices. The more expensive the package, the better value the player receives.

    • The plan is to update the Cartel Market with new items every month or so.
    • Players will be able to purchase additional character slots with Cartel Coins shortly after F2P launches.
    • Limited time or seasonal Cartel Market items are something they're considering but can't commit to at this time.
    • There are currently no plans to adjust the monthly cost for subscribers.
    • There are currently no plans to sell subscription time (ala Plex system in EVE) via the Cartel Market.
    • Character transfers to the PTS are something they are currently working on and will be available in the near future.
    • From the press email "All former subscribers who reactivate their subscription by the new date of December 20, 2012 at 11:59am CDT will be granted Complimentary Cartel Coins for their prior paid months up to November 15, 2012."
Edit. I have 6 months sub - wow my sub is getting cheaper and cheaper LOL - $12.99 per month + at least $5 from CC - that's less then $8 per month... totally worth it!

Also based on some posts on SWTOR forum xp reduction for F2P players is ~25%. Most of players said the difference is not noticable at levels 1-10 though. It might be that the reduction is progressive.

Also somebody mentioned that XP boosts drop as mission rewards so it might be less significant for F2P that it seems.

I would be caucious here with this number though until we get a real comparition data.

Edit. As all XP boosts on Cartel Market are 25% - I think that the initial number for slower experience is correct.

So do preferred status players also get reduced XP? Or just slightly reduced (less than subbers, but more than "freeers")?
