How was my question a consiracy?  You are listed as a partner.. I'm confused.  Why was my thread locked?  You could have just gave a simple answer and been done with it..

    This site has said many times in the past that they do no play favorites with games companies, nor do they give favarable reviews for money and stuff.

    Yeah but you know, to each his/her own. What if they actually did like the product? I have friends who like Roccat stuff (though I don't understand why) it could just be their honest opinion on a product.

    That thread didn't deserve a lock.  The mods simply don't like any discussion of how they almost never really criticize games or developers.

    A good example of this is when they reported that Rift was closing servers a while back and Trion contacted them specifically to say 'oh no were not closing servers, were preparing more servers for an upcoming promotion'.  MMORPG just reported it as fact and moved in.  It was obvious dishonest spin, made even more obvious now that we know that promotion never materialized.

     

    Instead of sticking to their guns and reporting what was happening, they reported Trion's spin on things.

     

    Its obvious Trion is a heavy advertiser on here.  They had a freelance writer write a (very entertaining) column on here for a while (Chronicles of one Telaran).  Was definitely an advertisement (although no clue if MMORPG took money to run it or not).

    That makes no sense.

    The Chronicles of one Telaran was a blog... on this site there are a lot of Blogs... The writer retired from writing recently.

    I don't know of anyone that believed the spin Trion made when merging servers.  It's the only really diaappointing thing they've done to me, as an outsider who generally appreciates their communication.

    Didnt say they were paid to ignore bad things, but they certainly dont criticise something that anyone with half a brain saw right through.  Trion isnt the only one, they dont really criticise anyone.

     

    And the author of that column (and it was a column, not a blog...there are two seperate sections for these) doesnt seem retired if you look at his twitter.  Funny that he was actually a freelance writer for SWTOR for a while too.

    Mostly personal preference. At least until you find this on their site. Then they take a major nose dive trying to sell an oversized mouse cable holder/USB port for $40.00.
