A picture is worth a thousand words:

Nothing is more fun than being hit by 2^31 damage now imagine if the game had 64 bit client that's what they need to adress first

The main problem with 1.0 was the lack of depth in pve, as well as a pvp community that wanted instant max level characters and non stop arena pvp.  PVP'ers locked down the start areas, drove away pve players which are the foundation of all sandboxes with ffa and full loot pvp...and turned the game into a macroed to max pvp arena.

That and the GUI and its massive amount of effort just to play your character right (meaning you need to be able to switch weapons on the fly mid combat a lot, and have the right skill ready to go...which takes a 3rd party program to do)

Was never the gring, as theyve constantly reduced the grind and population remained constant, even with its 20x XP at the end here.

That was really the only issue, the communities reaction to ffa pvp was terrible for most, and there was little reason for a pve focused player who likes ffa full loot pvp to stay as no one could compete with the macro/hack crowd, which is all that remains.

Oh and 2.0 is going to be aimes 100% directly at this same crowd again.  Expect uberfast progression (warcraft fast), a smaller game world to make pvp easier ect...

Oh and by the way, the DF community is one of my favorite communities of any mmorpg...they just dont mix well with a lot of "carebear" types or people with no 3rd party macro / fps skills.

Also..OP....explain your first post better....dont think anyone would know what the hell your getting at...

Seriously...you guys don't get it...the group of people that have always stuck with Darkfall and the reason that the game always had somewhat of a population was because the game is a niche game.  The pve...really...depth, lol...no one cares...its an all pvp game.  Please stay away from part 2 as well...as these things won't change...

Did you even play DF1 at release?  What do you think would have happened if they didnt reduce the grind? By the time the grind was reduced significantly,  most people had already left the game.

If grind was never an issue why did AV keep reducing it??? image

"It is both the best game on the market and very frustrating to play. If one refuses to submit to the need to macro when not playing, then they fall behind."

"Personally I will keep playing for another 2 patches. If the endless grinding isn't fixed by then I will quit"

"You're missing the point. Macroing isn't the problem, rather the "need" to macro in DFO."

""The grind IS still pretty ridiculous. The whole "character progression" thing is good in theory, but in practice it's not working worth a crap."

    "Sadly I am leaving to.......Reasons : - Massive grind...
