Not feeling at all that bioware lied to me LOL. The game for me is exactly what I expected. I played BioWare games before and I knew what to expect. I also did not sign up to the hype.

I did not play SWG :) I tried once when I had Station Sony subscription, but even though I was SW fan it did not impress me. But then I was busy in raiding EQ2 guild, so had no time for SWG.

Er...no. Mostly because I read about the game and watched a couple of videos before I bought it.

I can not remember winning or losing a single debate on the internet.

I don't feel lied too as much as I feel for Bioware. I believe Bioware was sincere and honest, but I feel EA pushed them in the direction it went. They destroyed a great gaming company...

Maybe a little. If anything EA was lying to themselves thinking SWTOR would be a game to rival WoW.
  • XerithXerith Member Posts: 970
It was pretty clear what type of game SWTOR was going to be long before it was ever released.
  • VladamyreVladamyre Member UncommonPosts: 223
No I don't feel that I was lied to. I do feel that I was cheated on the price of the game. It wasn't worth $5.00.

Anyone that thought Bioware was making something other than a KOTOR game was lying to themselves. It was exactly the game i thought it would be. KOTOR 3 with a multiplayer (co-op) option. Thats all it was ever going to be, and anyone who read about the game and watch some videos or played beta would have known that. Bioware/EA never lied, they took a risk, and it just didnt work out. It happens, especially in the MMO industry

You would think that people don't buy cat in the bag. Whenever I buy something (anything) I first check multiple sources/reviews to find out if I actually want it. In case of games I got burned on AoC, Aion and Rift, but I do not complain. It was my choice to get ithese games and I sucked it up. My decision and consequences are mine too. It is called personal responsibility.

I don't feel like they lied, I  think they delivered exactly what they said they were going to.  The parts of SWTOR that I loved were the cinematic dialogs and companion characters, but this is what Bioware is known for.

Unfortunately the rest of it was kinda meh (especially at 15 bucks a month) and didn't hold my interest.  Going to F2P will bring me back and if I think the material they are putting out might be worth the money I'll buy it.

Nope, not really. I knew what I was getting into before I purchased TOR, but that doesn't mean I'm not disappointed with Bioware or EA for releasing such a product. I would have much rather they continued the KOTOR series in a single player format than take the approach used for The Old Republic, regardless of my desire for another Star Wars massively.

The graphics deatil in the trailer's was amazing, then when the game released, suddenly the detail of the trailers were an accident, not representive of the actual game?

Hey all, I just wanted to pop in and say we are actively working on various optimizations (both server and client) and will continue to do so. It's extremely important for us to continually make improvements to our technology so we can have users across a variety of system specs and support large living worlds for those users to craft their virtual lives.

The Collectors Edition.  WOW what a betrayal.  Worth $150, but then worth $20 at Best Buy / Kmart and others as retailers dump this title, because it is going F2P.

    nope

after going through the warzone known at funcom over the years,  giving SWTOR a chance , also including keeping my standards to a medium and not be swept away the overly retarded high standard wet dream hype train also known as the "Teh wall of crazzee!!!" - i felt very little disappointment when i got my  money's worth from the game and moved on to another game; drama free and all.

well except watching bioware slowly become a husk while their employees drop like flies left and right.  that at least is disappointing.

A lie to me means premeditated.  SWTOR has had to abandon their plans due to poor subscription numbers.  I don't consider that a lie.  I think they planned on pushing out regular updates and free content if they weren't force to lay off so many people.

I wouldn't say lied to exactly.. but I do feel Bioware help the hype machine knowing the game was not going to meet expectations, but the greed for money was too much to ignore..  SWTOR in my opinion is not a true MMORPG, it's nothing more then KoTOR with co-op play..  It feels so much like a single game play that I couldn't force myself in playing an alt..

Did you read my post in this thread, or would you like to continue to bury your head in the sand?  You are "unaware", because you don't read anything.  I guess you argue that SWTOR was never meant to compete with WoW too.  You might be still saying that SWTOR still has 999,999 subs because this is less than 1 mil, but more than 500k.

Who are you supporting here .. EA, or a better SW game?
