LF Roguelike

So recently my taste for roguelikes has flared up again and I'm looking for something to play, not an MMO, SP.

I already beat FTL and Dredmoore so those are out from the newer-ish popular roguelikes.

What I don't want is some glyph-based text-crap, I just cant get motivated playing those things, my graphical standards are at least Dungeons of Dreadmore (2D grid-based stylized) to even care to pick up a game.

What I like in my roguelikes is if they are heavily exploration and stat-based also to have methodical gameplay, not necessarily turn based but at least slow enough to react to the gameplay. Also I like them to possibly have randomly generated worlds.

Please don't suggest Dark/Demon's Souls, already own it, don't like it.

Essentially I want a game that is heavy on survival but not crafting (i.e. not Minecraft, Terraria) and positively do not care for multiplayer games like DayZ.

An example that could give you an indication what I would consider desirable is NeoScavenger which is currently in development (I already played the demo).

ToME has some graphics so you don't have to play in ASCII.  It's a nice roguelike that gets constantly updated.  In reality, you download an 'engine' which then allows you to play the original campaign or download user-created content, so replayability is generally high.  If anything, ToME is the '21st century' roguelike.

Bumping week old threads is not only my business - it's my life.  Plus, this deserves to be above all the bad in this forum right now.

Play the best Roguelike ever. I have attached a link to a graphical version of Dwarf Fortress. http://www.bay12forums.com/smf/index.php?topic=98196.0

    You want graphic roguelike ?

Than look no further than Dungeon Crawl

    http://crawl.develz.org/wordpress/

Its one of the old ones constantly updated and infinetly complex.

    If you want something new:

    Brogue

    https://sites.google.com/site/broguegame/

Its not graphical. But it improves a lot on interface.

Best new roguelike , according to many people.

Is DF really a roguelike? It's more of a sandbox world builder really isn't it?

Dwarf Fortress has 2 modes. You are thinking of Fortress mode. I was referring to Adventure mode.
