During PAX Prime, we took the opportunity to check out Dark Vale's FORGE. We took home a few interesting tidbits from our time talking with the team. See what we discovered then let us know what you think in the comments.
The Warden is a defensive specialist that can give buffs both to himself and to his teammates. One of the most impressive skills we saw was Shield Storm, literally a storm swirling around the Warden and pushing off attackers.

This is an arena based fantasy Third person action game... and it really dont look good...
The easiest way to put it is that they don't know what kind of game they want to make. Use of the Unreal Engine is obvious; characters move, jump, and even wall-jump exactly like Unreal Tournament characters. However, it also has a few MMO elements. Unfortunately, not one of these aspects is a good one. Many skills (at least on Pyro) cannot be used without a target. Skills use a global cooldown in addition to individual cooldowns even though they use mana and animation-dependent hit detection. You have 9 skills on your bar at all times, which, frankly, is far too many for such an action-oriented game. There are tank and healer classes. There is a roguish class that can stunlock directly out if stealth. Countless features are included for no reason other than "That's how WoW does it."
They don't seem to realize that, outside of WoW, WoW PvP is not considered good. The result is a mismatch of features that don't really compliment each other very well.

Nope.. But a game named FURY, came out that was basically just like this game.. No meat to it, just que up and fight..
Unlike FURY though, this game bottles you up into classes which of course should qwell some of the balance QQ (the whole rock paper scissors stuff), BUT extremely limits customization..
And for a game with just lobbies and combat, you'd think customization would be something at the top of the list..
Anybody can try this game right now in its "alpha phase." They opened it up to anybody that registers.
