Not much else to say about the rest of it.

I think it might have more to do with the fact all characters share the same bank.  Moving it into your inventory gives you control over how much you spend and how much you leave behind.

Is that what they meant?  By "bank" I assumed they were talking about the collectibles tab.  There's really not much space in the bank by default.  Why would you put crafting materials in it?  They already have collectibles slots.

(Or are the collectibles also shared between characters and I missed it?)

If we wanted to mind our own f**king business we would go play a Single player and not a multiplayer game.  Kind of thought that would be common sense.

"I agree. this is my issue with the Hearts in GW2. If more events could replace the hearts, that would be awesome experience. They feel grindy in a traditional quest progression MMO kind of way, but worst, since it has a bar and more grindy."

Fascinating since these drop off as you go up in level. Guess getting past level 30 never occurred to anyone playing who's judging it right after launch.

Giant freaky-looking birds drop chainmail shirts.

Hmm ever get a piece of armor or weapon from a low level creature in WoW? This is a nul issue considering the entire genre does this same thing.

Skill challenges range from riveting to so-so to “That’s it? Really?”

Also a nul issue considering all the easy skills are at the beginning of the game. When you get past 30 they become significantly increase in difficulty and spread them out further apart.  Again once people get past the beginning they will notice the difference. Notably when they are no longer on the overflow server where there are twenty people fighting the same skill master.

really only three on this list warrant investigation. queue time display, looting separate from interaction, and crafting from bank or collectibles. the rest if these things are really just nul problems im sure they've received messages about in their social networking pages. As quickly as they come out with new fix patches i'm sure we'll see many of these things change this month :) notably considering they actually listen to their playerbase unlike the sub companies.

Yup, the collectibles slots are also shared with your other characters. :)

I agree on 11.   I don't care about 6.   When I'm following the story, I'm in-and-out of over-flow all the time.   When I'm hopping zones I'm in and out of the over-flow all the time.   I just take it was a grain of salt and appreciate the fact that I'm not sitting in a 2-hour queue.

I'm walking down the stree, someone says "Hi."   I say "Hi" back.    He sees what I'm wearing.   He doesn't get to rip my damn clothes off to check me for tatoos, scars and what brand of underwear I'm wearing.

I'm a mage. So close quarters isn't an issue, but yeah that's the main reason why I"m not a warrior in most MMOs.

While a lot of this is nitpicking there's a few good things in there.

Don't you hate being in a DE where you just killed a swarm of 82 mobs all in the same spot, and you can't loot crap without constantly adjusting/readjusting so you don't try to revive one of the 90283059820935 dead ranger pets standing on everything?

Or the jerkbiscuit NPC who needed help and is now STANDING ON YOUR PHAT LEWTS is all like "Hail well met!" "Hail well met!" "Hail well met!" as you try to spam pickup stuff? =P

Also yes, the camera could definitely use some work.  It's not a problem when you're running around a wide open area, but as soon as you start jumping up ledges/hills(sometimes)  or especially anything with multiple borders(most of the time)  around you things can get ugly real quick.

    I'd add:

    1. Direct Trade player-to-player via barter.

    2. Recall stone.

    3. Gear inspection tool (with possible future web-based site to check out characters inside out like WoW or Aion)

    4. Duels! Just friendly ones, for fun or for challenge. Can even make them so you can toggle yourself "unduelable" so nobody bothers you with duel requests if you don't like that. For me it's important to duel friends for fun, and sometimes strangers to test how you do against one or another class, or just to have a good time for the sake of it.

    5. More detailed character sheet and manual. How much damage reduction gives me each point of armor? What skill counts as X when I enable a perk that says "upon using a skill of type X, you gain Y effect". What does "Y effect" really do? What counts as Boon or as Aura? How do combo fields/finishers work? I find all that kind of information crucial when deciding my character build, and the lack of information is annoying. Sure you can dig some info in the wiki or third party sites, but the game needs to be clearer.

Funny thing is the 11 things on this list are so minor and nit picky that it's obvious the author of the article really had to reach for complaints. They could knock all those things out in a few minor patches.

Totally agree with his views and write ups 1, 9 and 11 ( mainly number 1 ) ... the others I can't say i have had much issue with

Even without that, it is a bit annoying.  Auto-loot helps, but still.

I'd rather have a Super Auto-Loot combined with Automotically Deposit Collectables Outside of Towns.  The former would automatically pick up loot from anything you kill -- you could specify a number of spaces to leave open before stopping and declaring you had no more room (to leave space to deal with loot bags and the like).  The latter option would move any collectables added to your inventory outside of towns to your collectables tab -- I worded that in a specific way, as it could be made so that collectables IN your inventory when you leave town would remain since you might want that.

Maybe I am just lazy in my old age but in a game like GW2 - why doesn't the game just auto-loot everything for me with area-loot?

I hit clicking extra stuff in combat... lol am I really that lazy?

This becomes even more of a pain when something interactable is near your loot, like an NPC you can talk to, and you keep pressing F to loot...but only talk to the stupid NPC lol.

Are you team Azeroth, team Tyria, or team Jacob?

This I have to disagree with. Its a roleplaying game, use your imagination to come up with something. The creature most likely fights other heroes in the world, whats to say the creature (giant bird in this case) didnt defeat a hero and ate its remains, armor and all, which is why it dropped it when you defeated that bird creature? use your imagination to come up with something. My example makes lots of sense.

Very true - there's also side-effects from naievely trying to "solve this"...

    - birds only drop bird bits.  Who the hell wants bird bits?  DE in birdland = population zero.

    - lizardmen drop 2-handed swords.  I need a 2-handed sword, so I'll camp the lizardmen for 4 hours!

    9) We need a better interaction system than “F.”

"oh my my my" Johnny Gil, I so agree with this. Gets so annoying, since I cant loot or do other interactions while that NPC chat window is up. I hate that.

There are 2 real possibilities for this:

    1) Someone looked at Champion online's awe-inspiringly terrible interface and thought 'that rocks!!!'.  If this is the case, please find that person and escort them from the premises :).

    2) Console port.

    1) I wish I could stay in overflow without pop-ups.

You can it is the leave queue option in the pop up.

    2) It’s a shame you can’t work crafting stations from your bank inventory.

    Seriously!

    4) Giant freaky-looking birds drop chainmail shirts.

    MMO

    5) Some of the work isn’t very dignified, and it’s all inherently itinerant.

Hearts are nothing and the higher zones have no hearts in them all events.

    6) Why can’t I see my queue time for World vs. World?

Why is there a queue time at all? This is the staple of the game.

    11) The game has close-quarters camera problems.

    It is playable however.

The rest I don/'t care about.

The "F" key works just fine actually... you have to target different things and then press "F".

For instance, I love crafting with both the crafting vendor and the crafting station open... and both need to be opened using "F".

Didn't they change this? I know I can do production crafting straight from my bank tab, but I can't use discovery, but that's fine with me. Run all my refining and deposit it, than make my scepter heads, goes to inventory, make my insignia's, goes to inventory, than discover the crafting possibilities.

    Easy Peasy!

I remember in EQ it was considered rude to inspect someone without their permission. I never got it. Who does it hurt that I can see what gear you're wearing? I'm not violating your privacy, this is a video game and you have no privacy here.

LOL I had totally forgot about that until you mentioned it.  I remember asking people for permission before inspecting.  It was considered to be the polite thing to do.  Good times lol

That was added after his complaint.  That's why he said in his followup article that he was impressed with how fast Arenanet is adding/fixing things.

    2) It’s a shame you can’t work crafting stations from your bank inventory.

This was ALSO added.  Not only can you work crafting stations from your bank inventory, they're adding in so you can even do discovery from bank inventory/collections soon.

Because there's only so many choices for how to do this.  Either allow unlimited amounts of people to flood into areas (Which would lag, then eventually crash the game), or create instances (Which sort of ruins the point), or make even more PvP areas (Which could get weird if there's too many and not enough people).  It's a balancing act.  As the population settles down, it shouldn't be a problem as much in the future.

I dunno, I think the F key has problems in combat situations.

For example, I was fighting a bunch of Flame Legion in a DE, and I kept trying to F my loot before it disappeared.  But unfortunately, there was an NPC nearby, and I kept F'ing him by mistake.  Man, I must have F'ed that NPC like 20 times by mistake before I finally got to F my loot.

This isn't only bad for me, but it must have been terrible for the NPC who has players accidentally F'ing him 10 times a minute.

Maybe the rest of us don't want ot hear about your F'ing problems.

    Game's full of F'ing spammers.

    Players running around...

    "F" this and "F" that.

    I mean seriously....What the "F"?

Part of where it came from in EQ1 was the PvP servers where you could drop 1 item.  Someone inspecting you meant they were looking to see if you had anything worth killing you for.  :)

#11 is the only one that has really annoyed me, especially when I was playing my asura. I kept trying to move my neck to get a better view when the camera wouldn't move for me. EIther something got changed or I adapted because it hasn't been as much of a problem lately.
