Hey, not long ago i started to play gw2.
And its alround okay, but 1 basic question will this heartquests or even some dynamic quest, stay so grindy in the later game?
Im pretty much annoyed on level10 already of the 100 waves mob spawns or killing 20 mobs until my heartquest finishes.
After level 10 i only pvped, cuz i was really dissapointed of the pve until level 10. Maybe its my opinion or something but tell me please if this stays like that

You aren't alone. Many play for just the pvp.

If WoW was released today even in its' entirety it would be f2p in 3 months.
Why is it still such a big deal?
Grinding is ok. This is an MMO. I'm pretty sure you have countless console games you can play to have rewards for no time put in.
I have not idea why most gamers these days want to rip through these game in record time...........it's ok to not finish a game in one month.
This game could not be less grindy and last more than two weeks. Honestly some people really need to stop playing MMO's because devs have been listening to you people for far too long. And now they designing games that I can half ass my way through in two months and then I get to buy another game, thanks short attention span crowd.
Man people just love to complain about grind. I had to kill a few mobs...its so grindy. Honestly GW2 has the least grind I've ever seen in any game. Seriously went up 30 levels in a day and a half and I wasn't even trying to I was just exploring and doing DE's as I came across them. I did my story quest for a bit too.
You don't have to grind the hearts, man. Just do DE's and help with things around you and the hearts will fill themselves. Cant count how many times I've been doing a DE and had a heart complete in the middle of it.
Just chill out the game is hardly a grind. Even at higher levels it's still not grindy.
I think people need to step back and redefine grind. Let's all go play Aion or Lineage II and then come back to GW2 and call it grindy.
Seriously.. If you are finding you have to 'grind' in this game then you are missing something..
If there are no events go talk to a few NPC's and watch what happens. Also listen and follow NPC's after events as I notice a lot of people just run away and totally miss the fact that another event is about to start.
yes depens what ppl played b4, it gives them diffrent kind of look on things. i for example always hated grinding and never played any grind game like aion or lineage:p
If you approach GW2 like a regular themepark MMO you will not have a good time.
Unlike other themeparks where anything other than max level is obsolete, GW2 is about the journey not the destination. Trying to reach Lv80 quickly will not benefit you in any real way but will instead dimish the fun you can have as you lose sight of the real reason to why we play games: for fun.
The grind is determined purely by how you go about playing the game and your own personal perspective. Like to me the game doesn't feel grindy, especially in comparison to other MMO PvE levelling exeprience. I simply just roam around the map doing whatever I feel like at the time. If an event pops up whilst I'm doing a heart, then I always go for the event and it's quite easy to get distracted even further by skill chllenges, jumping puzzles & vistas. If you ignore all of that and just focus on doing the hearts & the events, then ofcourse the game will feel monotonous and grindy like any other MMO.
Also when you are talking about levelling up your PvP level, are you talking about WvW? Because you don't gain XP in structured PvP.
Grind is not ok. Especially for many who Anet marketed no grinds in GW2, to.
Grinding is such a thing of the past in this genre. The industry should have known that by now when they saw what Blizzard changed about the EQ formula to make World Of Warcraft.

Awesome, we'll all be done with the game in two months (being generous) and ready to blow cash on another....
I don't know maybe I need to jump on board with the console crowd that has infected this genre and demand unrealistic amounts of content.
Do you think this game is too grindy?
I have to ask...are people just killing mobs and trying to level? Do they not realize taht grinding mobs gives the worst possible exp in the game. Seriously gathering from a single node gives you twice as much exp as a single mob kill. Crafting gives you a ton of exp. You can level to 80 from crafting alone.
You get almost 15-18 times more exp from finding a single waypoint on the map...seriously I found a waypoint that gave me 700 exp; killed a mob and got 55 exp. Quite a difference.
So get out and explore, gather, craft, do the DE's as theyg ive a ton of exp. Some give like 1500 exp. DO your storyline it LITERALLY...NOT EVEN KIDDING...gives you like 1/3 of your exp bar. I did my first story quest and got so much exp I thought I had glitched the game and found an exp bug.
I quit PvE at 30, Is repetitive and it feels like a grind after a while, The old quest system is still there, u dont have an NPC with a star over his head, but the zone or camps is what give you the quest. Now im only doing Spvp and WvWvW.
Do you even know what "grind" means?
GW2 does not have grind because it does not require you to perform the same task over and over again. Anyone complaining about grind has only themselves to blame because the game is filled to the brim with a variety of content, all of which progresses your character (aside from sPvP of course).
If it feels like a grind, then you're doing it all wrong.
It's just that simple.
Don't bother looking at your experience bar, Don't bother rushing thru content hoping to "beat" everyone else. Don't bother repeating something if it's not enjoyable. You will only burn yourself out. Take some time and have a little fun. Play with weapon styles. Try different characters. Read on the different combinations. Meet some cool people, group with them, and just run around with them killing time.
It's a game, not a job.
I find them more instresting then quest farming in other MMOs. To each their own.
That said, I find the heart quest more manageable when I'm doing them as a means to end other then leveling. For instance, completeing them while doing my dailys and monthly achievements. I find the zone events to be better to. "The swamp lies dorment" is great IMO.

The full potiential of PvE is still being wasted by players. So many people just let teh NPC run off and nobody follows them. I've only started following them again and found myself enjoying them more. Even I was subject to running away after an event finished.
WE NEED TO LEARN TO FOLLOW NPCS AND STICK AROUND.
Play for fun. Play to win. Play for perfection. Play with friends. Play in another world. Why do you play?
After the DE? Thanks for the tip I'll do this.

I edited your post a little bit to reflect my experience -- at least judging from the WvW queues.
give specific examples.
Event under water which wanted players to collect dwarves artifacts, and turn them in to a Norn collector. Once finished, the guy ask to be escorted back to the inn. Then later the next part starts which is attacked by rogues trying to steal them. Next another escort. On and on.

Wow that event sounds super exciting and innovative...follow NPC's?!?! unheard of and groundbreaking!
