About Defiance:
Defiance is a growing community that has it's roots in Planetside (1 and 2) and have decided to open up a Guild Wars 2 chapter. We have a long standing community with many active members that have enjoyed each others company across multiple games. Our leadership are even tempered and fair, we don't yell and scream at people like I am sure everyone has experienced.
While we have a good core of people we are looking to expand those numbers in Guild Wars 2 and bring a powerful force of players into WvW. We have opportunity for advancement for the right individuals as well. We pride ourselves on our teamwork and focused attitude towards gaming. Many of our leaders and members are prior military and we try to bring that sense of teamwork and dedication to whatever game we are playing.
Our GW2 Mission:
The mission of Defiance in Guild Wars 2 will be to become the top guild for World vs World on our server. Our guilds background is heavily focused in organized pvp in Planetside / Planetside 2. We are looking to build the strongest possible fighting force to ensure that Tarnished Coast is routinely at the top of server ladder. Join us and bring glory to Tarnished Coast! We also plan to become involved in any endgame progression raiding/dungeons that come up of course. Though the focus of the Guild will remain on World vs World as the primary.
Recruitment Status:
At this time we are quite hopeful that ArenaNet's plan of getting rid of the "unholy trinity" will be successful. We are openly recruiting all classes and roles at this time. We are looking for all types of players from hardcore to casual. Defiance is first and foremost a community and we look forward to working and playing with anyone who wants to carry our flag into combat. We are looking for a range of players from hardcore to casual and from dungeon runners to elite pvpers.

Once you put this in if you are not using an existing Enjin account make sure that you verify your email with Enjin so that we get your registration form.

We are open to casual players as well as hardcore players. Defiance is first and foremost a community and as such we embrace anyone who wants to game with us.... No matter how many hours a week you can play. We actually encourage people to put real life first, we don't want any stories of lost love over video games coming from Defiance.

Defiance is focused on becoming the premier World vs World guild on our server; Darkhaven. We are looking for all catagories of players from crafters and merchants to dungeon runners and questers as well as strong PvPers. Here at Defiance we understand that the core of any group is the support that holds it up. Our leadership's background in the real military gives us an interesting insight on this. In the real military only about 20% is actually what are considered "combat" soldiers and it works. It works because you need that support.
Defiance is recruiting for all types of players both PvP and non-PvP. If you join up as a non-PvP member there won't be any sort of negativity or pressure towards you to PvP unlike a lot of guilds. We will embrace you for your company and what you do bring to the guild.

BUMP! Defiance is an awesome guild with a great multi game community. The forums are very active, always growing, and full of useful information. Come one in and check us out- you wont be disappointed!

Since then we have worked hard at getting people into the guild as they come online for the first time and also have been working on recruiting in game and getting our name out. As you can see we are still short people who haven't even made it in game yet but we are solid and strong already. (Note in GW2 membership is by account so the 37 includes zero alts).
People are quite active which is great and we have a lot of people dedicating themselves to leveling on the cutting edge of the time curve. Thank you everyone for your great work!
