[Review] Hunter Blade: Play RaiderZ Instead

In our latest review, we take a look at Blade Storm, an all-action MMO. We've put in lots of hours to bring a comprehensive look at the game to our readers. Find out our final conclusion and then let us know what you think in the comments.

Those who have played Hunter Blade will know that from creating your character the game becomes increasingly frustrating. Creating your character is simple: choose from presets and then specialise in a class, although these are not typical such as Warrior or Priest, etc. Hunter Blade sacrifices classes for weapon specialisations. From choosing this, your character is placed into a Hunter Training Camp with no background story as to why you have been chosen to become a “hunter”. This is where the game becomes an annoyance and the more I delved into this MMO the more it became apparent that the developers haven't taken the time to produce lore for the game.

Since you mention the comparison, I'm personally digging RaiderZ a surprising amount.  Can't wait till open beta so there's no more wipes.  Would have been nice for something to fill in for the mean time while waiting for GW2.  Maybe I'll check this out, play for 5 minutes, and uninstall.

The fatigue system is a horrible crutch and a terrible way to get players to spend money at your cash shop. I fof one love the game for it's obvious MHF ripoff, but even with that being said I will not tolerate a game that limits your playtime in order to force you to use the cash shop. Offer a small sub why don't you, but forcing players to pay just to play? Whatever.

Not quite the same thing. Hunter Blade is far closer to the original Monster Hunter series than RaiderZ, which blends the elements of MH with a traditional MMO. The only thing the two games really share is more action-oriented gameplay and the focus on crafting your gear rather than purchasing/grinding for it. Otherwise, you're comparing apples with oranges.

Yup, garbage game. Played it for 2 hours to try and give it a chance and just playing it that long was torture.

^this. I played RaiderZ long enough to realize that it's NOT like Monster Hunter even though that was how it's been marketed. It's just another grindy Asian game. Sure, Monster Hunter has its grind too, but at least it's almost all boss fights.
