Entropia Universe developer, Mind Ark, has announced a new partnership with Project Whitecard. Under the agreement, the pair will work to bring Mind Ark's games to nearly any browser and mobile platform that currently exists giving players a way to take part in their favorite titles anywhere in the world.

It became clear that Project Whitecard Studios and MindArk have many of the same goals and passions, and primarily, we want to deliver the best possible solu:on to our collec:ve customer base, one that gives them freedom and one that allows us to fully express our crea:ve visions. I am very excited to be working within such an incredible alliance. I also feel this collabora:on gives us the best op:on to set a new standard for mul:player engagement, and let’s face it, modelling the possible futures of space travel, and sharpening minds: that’s simply the coolest, isn’t it?” says Khal Shariff, CEO of Project Whitecard Studios Inc.

I can't believe anyone would still play this money sink of a title. I always saw promise for this game back in 1999/2000 but with a greedy company like Mindark it never got off the ground and their concepts they preached about back in 1999 and 2000 took them 10 years to get to.

This was a company that was charging real money in their beta. Don't listen to the morons who claimed they played for free, they didn't. What it was that these people did was log in and stand around where majority of people were and begged for items all day.

It is impossible to play for free unless you just like running around and looking at things because that's all you're gonna be able to do. You need real money to buy a weapon, ammo and to maintain it as it degrades fast when used.

If you don't have money for a weapon then you will either A. run around until you get bored or B. mooch off of other players

Well to be honest a small amount of people do actually not only play for free but thrive... But ofc for that to happen the majority need to suffer and play at a loss. So just like in real the real world someone need to lose money for someone to gain money and considering how top heavy the game is, it is pretty much impossible to reach that position as a newcommer.

But if you only put in a normal sub worth of cash you can still play a fairly well developed sandbox... Just don't expect to make more money of this title then you do a normal game.

This have been a good conversation

I played for free and I didn't "beg." Standing around selling sweat might not be the most exciting thing in the world, but it let me play it for free. And honestly, I rather enjoyed my time with Entropia--staying up until the wee hours of the morning, drinking tea, and watching Disney Channel, survivor man (and the other one that I can't recall the name of) and documentaries on the history channel whilst still living at my mom's and going to college... Ah nostalgia is an ugly beast.

Exactly what I'm doing. I pay $15 max a month for this game and play it a couple of hour a week. The money spend to buy PED (in-game currency), I use to buy gear, ammo and make repairs. To keep my money 'up' I'm also doing silly things like sweat collecting and such. When the in-game PED is spent, I evaluate if I wanna play an other period and buy for $15 of PED again.

Looks like a lot of struggle and money concerns for a game that should be fun. This one sounds like 2nd job. Whatever works for you guys but that's not my type of game -_-' If the game asks you for real currency to just have weapons an ammo there is something utterly wrong with the design. It would discourgae imense amount of players.

Oh good I can gamble in my browser now.  All this game is, is a casino, and a boring one at that.  Collecting sweat is without doubt the most boring MMO activity ever invented.

Greed vs. Entertainment i guess... Like every other F2P game you have to jump through some hoops if you play... Or you can pay and bypass those said hoops.

And i am not sure what part of the game is gambling (in any other sense then loot drops but every game has those.)

I played this as f2p for a few months...Yeah you dont really get very far because of ammo and other issues....The sweat parties were OK as you meet alot of people but you only get so far.....I got into a guild and a couple of nice people gave me a little ammo to get a taste of the game, but it just wasn't anything I'd consider spending cash on.

Days of someone who works hard and makes it are gone. Algorithms have been set to "take 90% give back 10%". Markups are in the basement.

Skip skip skip skip. There is nothing fun here unless you are very old and already established player with very eco gear.

No fate but what we make, so make me a ham sandwich please.
