I'll have a look at your site later on, i'm interested in joining, mainly as the name caught my eye. I played under this name on FarStar server in SWG, so nostalgia for me :)

Will be the first MMO i intend on playing for a couple of years now, as none have had any exploration or community/social tools, although by sounds of it, this one will (secret world just looks like a singleplayer RPG).

Until Archeage releases in 2014, i'll give this one a blast (i need an MMO to save money, as i get bored and blow it in the pub on beer).

I'm wondering how many GW2 players are also potential AA players. I am one as well for sure ;)

We had lots of former SWG farstar players and we needed a new name for the guildmerge in SWTOR :)

Maybe you'll run into some people you knew from back then :)

Hmm perhaps. Maybe this time i won't have to put 3's to replace E's in my name lol. Nothing more annoying than someone using your name to play for 1 day, then never playing again. Infact, the guy had never logged in according to server, bah.

I've had a real long MMO break, probably last one i played for any duration was Warhammer, SWTOR lasted couple of weeks, rest are same fly by night ones. So i'm fresh for a good one :)

Look forward to seeing your application. We're not that strict. We play for fun. As long as you come across as a mature, sociable type of person, you'll be admitted on a trial basis and then we can make sure you like us and we like you before making you a full member soon after.

where do I get to read the officers/leaders CV ?

I remember you from the Farstar forums. You won't remember me though as I rarely posted there and hardly ever PvP'd. Not to mention this forum name is different from my SWG ones.

Hehe usually it's the applicant who has to show a CV, not the recruiter... ;)

Mangala did that so that our recruitment forum isn't invaded by spam bots and other porn site advertisements.

Well I was thinking that as well but I thought I'd let you answer just in case I was missing something and it wasn't a troll.

Nice to see we've just passed a thousand views. We've had a great response from mmorpg.com users and the standard of applicants has been very high. Keep those applications coming and help us reach our membership target by launch day.
  • ReaperUkReaperUk Member UncommonPosts: 758

    Welcome to more new members:

Tremayne, ChunkThePirate,Dominique, Boldyn, Stormbringer, Kazide, Northman, Granpa.

We don't aim to be the biggest guild on the server but we do intend making sure we have enough members online in the evenings to make forming a group easy when you need to. We're on target for the numbers we are looking for in advance of launch and once we have them, we are likely to ease up on recruiting.

Keep those great applications coming while you still have the chance of joining us!

  • ReaperUkReaperUk Member UncommonPosts: 758

    More new member welcomes:

Hi to Zaunder, Eta Carinea, Hill, Trubot, Queue, Kerah.

We are getting close to our target and are likely to pause recruiting once the game launches to allow everyone to get settled in. You have a few more days to join us so get those applications in now..................

The Farstar Alliance are pleased to announce that we will be on the Gandara EU server.

    See you there

  • ReaperUkReaperUk Member UncommonPosts: 758
Only a couple of days until head start but we still have room for a few more mature and friendly players. Apply now and be ready to hit the ground running............
  • ReaperUkReaperUk Member UncommonPosts: 758

This is your last chance to apply for membership of our great guild for the time being. We are pausing advertising for new members as the game goes into headstart on Saturday morning. That will give all our fantastic new members a chance to settle in and get to know each other . Our guild leader will be able to take a break from al the hard work he has been doing greeting the new members too and to spend some time actually playing the game with the rest of us.

edit: We are now established on the Gandara EU server. See you all there................

TFA are pleased to announce that our doors are once again open to the adventurers of Tyria on the Gandara (EU) server.
  • ReaperUkReaperUk Member UncommonPosts: 758

We are not an open ended recruitment type of guild but we do aim to maintain sufficient numbers of active members to organise regular dungeon runs and WvW evenings. To that end, we have re-opened recruitment for a limited time in order to keep our active membership numbers at the right level.

If you're a mature gamer, looking for a relaxed guild that welcomes casual players, you won't go far wrong by applying to The Farstar Alliance.

  • ReaperUkReaperUk Member UncommonPosts: 758
Still room for a few more mature players looking for a casual guild to have fun in.
  • ReaperUkReaperUk Member UncommonPosts: 758

We've been very happy with the response since we reopened recruitment a few weeks ago but we still have room for a few more. We are not an open ended recruitment type of guild but do aim to make sure we maintain sufficient numbers for our members to be able to form groups every evening for dungeons, WvW etc.

If you're looking for a mature, relaxed EU guild to join on Gandara, now's the time to check us out at the address at the bottom of our original post.

    A reminder about our guild:

    - No activity is mandatory. We accept all playstyles. We are a community for casual gamers, you will never be frowned upon because you can't attend dungeons or whatever other activity. Life > Video Game.

    - We don't only do the new fractals dungeons, but we run all the older dungeons regularly too.

    See ya in game soon!

If you are a mature player looking for a new home in GW2, start the new year with one of the well established guilds on Gandara. Still going strong but we have room for a few more members to join our merry band. See Korrigan's original post in this thread for details of how to apply..........................

New W3 and Dungeon run events now posted on our calendar for the coming week, and more to follow.

Don't rely on PuGs, find adventure with TLA
