If i prepurchase now, will there be any stress tests or betas until the release date? I actually can't play when it gets released for a half year so i would like to try it few days b4 xD
They have been performing some last minute stress tests as the days count down. No one knows if there will be anymore or when they might drop. If you cannot play for 6 months after release, your best bet will be to wait until you can play and buy it then.
No worries, it will still be around.

Ye thats why im asking, because if the price does not change in 6 months, it will be no diffrence in buying now or later. But im scared price poppes down to 40 or smth like its normal with Computerbased games (same for ps3 and stuff). It would be no sense to buy now
great, one question why amazon sells it for 47 and the official gw2 site for 54 euro? the amazon also does not say prepurchase but actually u buy it earlier
Just because Anet are more expensive. Amazon should send you a key, which will get you into the head start and any stress test (if they do have another).
Either way you'll have to create a GW2 account and download the client.
prepurchase acces = 25 august preorder acces - 27 august
2 days diffrence !
Shouldn't be. When did they change that?
It was always that way, pre purchase 25 august, preorder just 1 day headstart.
Where did you exactly see that was different?
Amazon, although have just noticed they aren't selling the pre-purchase anymore and the pre-order version doesn't even state you'll get into the head start.
OP might want to shop around for the pre-purchase. Anet have been more expensive.
Depending on which Amazon site you use, they treat Guild Wars 2 different.
If there is a already released version, like on amazon.de, it's their version of handling pre-purchase, as Amazon normally does not do pre-purchase, but didn't want to miss out on the GW 2 sales. So they offer two versions, with what should be the pre-purchase one being a already released GW 2, and another GW 2 that gets released on the 28th.
Some Amazon stores like Amazon.fr do real pre-purchase as intended by ArenaNet i think, some do not do it at all.
Anyways, if it says pre-purchase and/or that it's already released or stuff like that, it's the correct version.
As others said, no one knows (probably not even ArenaNet) how many stress tests, if at all, there will be from now until release - you might end up without one. Also note that the stress tests are very short, 1 to 4 hours, and you have to factor in login issues etc.
If you want it anyways, there is nothing wrong with buying it now, but don't except to be able to play much.

There won't be any Betas, but many of us expect one more stress test.
May I ask why you can't play for a half year?

Anyone pre-purchasing, or pre-ordering gets access from the 25th.

Yes, yes you can... prepurchase gives you the chance of playing the game 3 days before the actual release.
