18-35 dont you ever read the statistics they put out?

They make you sign a virtual message saying you are 18 and the top end of players is nearing 40.

In actuality most players are between 16-35 and the amounts you put are too specific.

Guessing the people who actually have time to play the most are between 16-21 though.

You had to just barely put me into the 31-40 bracket didn't you?

The results so far reflect similar research done putting the common age of MMOers at 25-30.

Overehere in Holland there are for example many people in early retirement playing..

And many of the people who have lost their jobs in the crisis have lots of time on their hands to play MMO´s.  Which is actually the cheepest form of entertainment for them.

People between 16 and 21 should have the least time to play, as they should be studying and socialising in the few hours they are not studying.

lol thats bogus. Highschool, at least in America does not require one tiddly bit of homework to do and you'll do fine in school, so 16-18 group actually have the most free time. College is another thing but many don't even get to there so...

I think we have a problem here...

I'm 37 (the same age as Dennis in Monty Python and the Holy Grail), and I'll be playing.  Not as much as I'd like to with my new Job of Awesomeness +3, but enough to be as childish as possible while playing a GAME.

No that's just how they act.....

Seriously, it's a mixed bag of nuts (and that I mean in all the sarcastic goodness I can muster!)

I can only speak on behalf my 50+people guild. I'm 21, and I'm one of the youngest :) The oldest are around 40-50.

Accordng to this poll, it looks like more of the newer generation of mmo gamers from Guild Wars, WoW, FFXI series and LotRO over the older generation that came from UO, EQ, AO,DAoC  and AC (again, according to this poll here).

    Man I am getting old.

But the research suggesting MMO players were 25-30 was done about 8 years ago. I remember reading it and thinking "thats me!". These days however, it must have increased, as all my friends still play, and we are now mid to late 30's. I'd think it would be 25-35 now.

Sometimes people who refer to themselves as mature are just people who lack a sense of humour..lifes too short to be that stiff.

I think GW2 is perfect for adults with jobs and/or kids, because it is very casual friendly, and that's why I think it will attract more mature players.

lol, what school did you go to? My high school not only required a lot of home work when I went but from what I understand it currently assigns quite a lot of home work to students.
