Howdy!
I like may of you on these forums enjoy the rich PvE world of Vanguard. The lore, the legends, the massive dungeons... that I ride past on my little horsey wishing I had people to explore them with.
Do not get me wrong I have had great times in game exploring off path content but it is very rare and far between for my likes. To this end I would like to try and get an explorers league of sorts up an running using these and other forums to coordinate groups to explore world.
About me:
35 y/o geeked out since Nintendo
EST player with a job so I keep play times within reason
I have lead raid guilds in EQ and EQ2 but no longer have time for that nor the patients to deal with the attitudes
Toon: 27 Paladin
About the league:
Explore content that is off the main path (not your HL, CIS, TK, ... type stuff but we can hit that too).
There will be no restrictions on class apart from at least one healer.
Level limits will be based on content. A minimum level will be stated, there will be no level cap but mentoring will be needed to keep this fun.
There is no pressure, this is for fun! It is not a zerg fest it will be a social dungeon crawl.
It is not a guild recruitment tool.
I will announce events here and on other forums and take in game emails for suggestions on content to explore
If we get more than one group worth of players we will launch multiple groups or set up a waiting list so that if you get bumped you get priority on the next event you would like to attend.
Most activity will be EST 8:00-11:00.

Monday July 9th we will be exploring the remains of Castle Landsview

It is a fairly easy zone and a good one to get started on. There is a quest chain here that predates action in TK and we will attempt the ring event. The biggest issue here are the updates for the event. A ghost will drop a parchment that we will all need for the update if not the ring event will only update those that looked at the scroll.
Notes: Mobs in the zone like to agro to casting so be mindful that while you may be out of physical agro range you might not be out of casting agro range.

I think a lot of us are waiting for the F2P model to release, not to be cheap but because everything you get in the game can be changed or not be useful anymore after that.
Once that is out you probably see a lot of us trying it out again (were a few years since last time for me).
I used to have a sub a few months back, but waiting for the F2P here aswell, anyways, have fun!!
I was waiting out the F2P also but once I got back into the swing of VG I was hooked... and I wanted to get past the HL and CIS lines prior to a flood of players (ok like 100 will last to that point) because updates take long enough with a dead population.

Run 1 was a success, not a lot of support from the forums but that is to be expected. The Irony is that the most responses came from returning or new players. Indication of good things to come!
We hit the target and ran the ring event, good fun!

I know nothing about this one but will spend this week edumakating myself on it. I am looking at a Friday, Saturday or Sunday... or all three my better half is out of the state

this is great. I have recently returned and will be in touch.
I have a level 43 Paladin, but will roll a new toon when VG goes F2P just so i can level up with a lot of new players and do some of the odd low level dungeons that none seems to want to do now.
If it's not broken, you are not innovating.
