My Naga has been reasonably reliable (had to take it apart once to spray the contacts with a contact cleaner) but my main issue with it is the fact that the thing is too small. I really wish I'd paid more attention to the reviews on Amazon before I bought it.
I can easily reach either the first two columns of buttons or the last two, there's no way to reach all of them without strange contortions that are really uncomfortable. As a result I tend to just use the last column regularly, leaving the other nine buttons unused. A waste but I'm not forming a muscle tearing claw to get at the others...
There are also two mysterious extra little buttons at the far end of the mouse which I firmly believe no human could possibly use...
Which one is that? It looks like an updated version of my old G5 (it only had one thumb button). I loved that thing! I wore the sensativity buttons out playing Battlefield 2 and now they are just grey buttons lol.
G517, great mouse, i had it for 4 years previous to my Naga.
That is what I am using until sometime in the fall.
It is probably the best feeling mouse I have ever used
Raer and logitech get mentioned all the time, and they are good mice
but Coolermaster and corsair make some bloody good mice too.
The one that always gets recommended and I don't like is Steel Series, they're such a bastard to clean, and with the design of the case its easy to break the thing cleaning the 2 main buttons.
Sharkoon are a decent budget make, the thumb buttons are not quite in the right position and the whell isnt that great, but they're a cheap 7 button mouse.
Them RAT things look cool, but they look a bit weird for me to handle, whats with all the weird wheels on the side and stuff.
In the original Cyborg R.A.T. 7 the extra side wheel was used mostly for strafing as the mousing intended audience was/is FPS players, hence the red target button on the side which basically dropped your DPI down to next to nothing for precision shooting/aiming.
I use the Lachesis right now, and it works splendidly, especially with the two extra buttons in the middle. I've fallen in love with those.
Still, I would do unspeakable things for the left-handed Naga they are talking about. I can't stand that there aren't really any decent left-handed mice for my purposes.

I still have a sealed MX518 I bought together with the one I'm using now. It's been some 5 years + also, and it still works perfectly. I think that sealed one will be given to my greatchildren after my funeral. The current one simply won't give up.
Probably the best PC accessory I've ever bought in my life. Sturdy as a rock.
I dont care for the Naga products. I think the buttons are to crammed in.
Took me some time to get used to, but now i have full controll with quick reaction over 9 of the 12 buttons to the side. The other 3 require repositioning of the hand, so they are used for less important things. Combined with the keys on my G1`5 keyboard there is more then enough keys available for quick actions.
The reason why most controllers have triggers being used by fingers is because scientifically your fingers are proven to have better reaction time. That's the main reason why top button joysticks basically vanished off of the face of the earth and were replaced with finger press buttons.
Trying to rebind all of your keys to a single remote ends up being really inefficient. It's really hard to explain this to people who use the Naga though. They're all convinced it's somehow superior when basic anatomy disagrees.
I will certainly be considered old school (and in fact I am), but I'm still using a wired normal 3 button optical Microsoft mouse... and I never had a problem playing any game, MMO or other. Wired because I don't want to be bothered with changing/reloading batteries and the wire never annoyed me anyway.
And I do most actions with a (properly configured) totally standard Microsoft keyboard too... no macros... go figure

HP voodoo DNA is what I use for MMO's, it has the best thumbbutton placement of any mouse I've used, the sensor is laser so I wouldn't use if for FPS games but it works fine for MMO's. I don't like the standard thumbbutton placement that most mouses use. Sometimes I use my old Logitech MX510 in MMO's aswell, that thing has lasted so long, pure quality.
I use Razer Abyssus for FPS games and most non-MMO's. It has one of the best sensors on the market and is light and comfortable for me with claw grip. I switch to my trusty old Intellimouse explorer 3.0 sometimes when my aim feels off

I actually use a basic 9 button logitech g300 series for the mouse. I use a logitech g13 gaming pad. I use my left thumb wiht the joystick to control movement (basically map w,a,s,d to the joystick) and input any macros and skill buttons where ever i want with the buttons lol. The digital display on the top is really cool becaause i can set the screen to show details within the game like hp mp. Works great for me and i only spent 52 dollars on it vs the $100+ like the nice gaming mice. I had a discount code from PW with dropped the price from 79 or so to 53. I really do love this device, very functional and comfortable for my hand!
I've had this one laying on my desk for acouple of years now but I never could get used to it for actual gameplay because I have relatively small hands and need to move my hand around a lot to be able to reach all keys. It just feels uncomfortable.
So instead I just used the display where I have some RSS feeds, mail notifications and see who's speaking on Vent in games that don't support overlays in full screen.
Because GW2 only has a relatively low number of skills available at any given time I think I might give it a go again.
The mouse I've been using for several years now and still am very happy with is G9X. I don't feel comfortable with a lot of extra buttons like the Naga has. I only use the site buttons and have those mapped to targeting closest and next target respectively in every game.

You'll get used to those small buttons rather easilly if you dont have to huge hands... Actually it surprised me when i borrowed a friends Naga to try them out how i got used to them rather quickly.

The design of those mice was really good. The manufacturing was horrible. I've never seen so many people I personally know get so many consistently bad products as when the first version of that mouse was released. They may have fixed it in the newer versions, but the memory of that first horrible mouse makes me leery of buying anything from SteelSeries. Which is sad, because their Siberia headsets look like something I'd like to purchase.
I can not remember winning or losing a single debate on the internet.
I use the Logitech G700 and really like it. Four thumb buttons, three left side buttons on the top, you can switch profiles/DPI settings from the mouse itself, and best of all can be used either wireless or connected to the charging wire like a wired mouse.
Nothing is worse than having you mouse battery die right in the middle of a pull on a end zone boss mob.
I also have the G13 gamepad but have a issue with where to place it on my desk that is comfortable so don't use it very often. It needs a far amount of room to the left of your keyboard which some desks don't accomidate well.

i use same thing but paired with my g700 great combo!:) although I don't use joystick for movement as it feels "off" to me but i use it for skills:)

I played with a Naga in the store for awhile and just couldn't get use to the smaller buttons. I have a giant thumb and just had a hard time identifing the buttons. The G700 side buttons are ridged instead of flat and much easier to identify even with large hands. It's 4 side buttons on the G700 vs 12 on the Naga so I'm not sure it's fair to compare them in that regrad but if you can't accuratly press the buttons you won't use the mouse no matter how many buttons it has.

Just recieved my Razer Naga today. Woo! Can't wait to give it a go on GW2.
